Recently I went to top overhaul my FZ1 cost me 1500, replacing auto tensioner, tensioner chain , valve clearance , throttle body syn and balancing. So expensive. Just to share with all about the cost

 

Ha ha, the workshop replace the seal and gasket too. I did this at a reputable workshop. They replace the shims too. Honesty I think it's too expensive.

 

 

Mind sharing where is this "reputable workshop"?

fazer6 possible to change to a larger fuel tank? My fuel tank rusty inside, cause fuel filter to spoil. Now looking to change the entire fuel tank to a larger one since have to change anyway sooner or later.

My fz1 is 06 don't know if I should replace with a new exhaust since I have overhaul my bike. Can't decide.

it's up to each individual..

 

one thing to note, the voltage & amps is something that you can't find it that good for normal batteries.. not to say its dimension/weight..

The mechanic change the piston ring too. 4x60=240.

So do you mean to say I have to get the pouch ready first, before I go to VICOM to tell them that I need to replace my IU (in the event that my IU is really faulty after they have checked it)?

 

So meaning to say, I have to drop by VICOM twice?

 

First, to check if IU is faulty. Second time to go with the "rubber" and put it over the new slim IU BEFROE the VICOM mechanic fix my new IU onto my IU bracket?

 

Or is the "latex" simply a "wear over the IU"?

 

Sorry for my many questions, newbie lah (in wearing "latex" for IU).

 

actually, to ask them fit in the pouch i seriously dunno will they do that anot. cos the pouch i recommend is just to cover the IU, then screw

to the mount. like that nobody will steal the pouch. if u get those fit over the IU with the mount type, itchy hands might just take n go. ask them to install is save the hassle of installing urself. which means unmount the iu n disconnect the wire, install urself n fix back. so its either u make 2 trips to vicom or 1 trip check n replace, then u fit the pouch urself.

 

my advice do not go for IU inspection with any IU cover, sticker etc. they will probably fault it and say it caused your IU to be unable to detect when you ride pass ERP gantry. So, simply go vicom have your IU checked, pass already then go buy your cover etc.

 

they have an equipment to scan the iu. so its capable to check if the signal is good or not. n a pouch or sticker will not deter the scan of the iu. my point of view that is.

overhaul anot dun mean u need to replace aftermarket exhaust. its u to decide to change anot. stock exhaust oso can use. just the look, c liao abit boring. since its a 06 model, its good to install the FCE rather than change exhaust.

the pain for this item is need to ship in frm us or uk. then install urself or get someone to install for u at a cost of cos. improvement is, u read urself. i had this on my 07 n it works! nvr regret getting it. but regret y i dun get it earlier.

Why I bought cos I haven't tired a Yamaha bike (the first bike was jus for show.. haha) before and this bike really suit my current riding attitude and journey to work as previous bike is abit diffcult for me to squeezzz during jam... haha
