I can share what i know wif u.

for cost saving, with low maintenance and fuel consumption, take a 4 stroke bike like Wave, x1, spark, YBR, CG, CBR150, Phantom 200(if u can spend a bit more) or even RXK.

These are a few i can think of.

If u wan power, u can get RXZ but it's a 2T bike.

if u wan a bike that worth the investment, better to take 4 stroke bikes.

Yamaha RXZ, Kawasaki ZX KR150, Yamaha Spark135, Honda CB400 REVO NC42, Suzuki DRZ400SMK8, Aprilia RS125, Suzuki GSXR600K9, Honda RS150R

If you have a Thailand-manufactured bike, and when you take care of it, feeding it adequate 2T (for 2 strokers), as well as going for maintenance once every 2 months, it should respect you in return.

You can try Taiwanese scooters like SYM Joyride, GMax etc that are generally low maintenance, economical, plenty of storage space and with reasonable power.

If low maintenance is on your agenda, avoid Italian bikes like X8, X9 etc where parts cost more.

This is to correct the perception that scooters have high maintenance.

If you are not interested in scooter, bikes like spark and Honda wave are very economical bikes that you can consider.

2 stroke / 4 stroke bikes are pretty even out in terms of maintainence...

for both type of bikes, there're always same stuffs to take care... e.g. EO, spark plugs, filters...

since you said you'll change bikes, get a 4 stroke 2B bike... then slowly learn about both 2 strokes and 4 strokes...

the only reason i'll opt for 4strokers are becos they do not need 2T to run.... personally, i hate the hassle of having something extra to check and topup...

nowadays, after my routine oil change... its just pump petrol only...

oh btw.. please take note that while scooters like atlantic and gts200 are pretty low maintainence... their machine price is considered high also..

cheers!

Why i keep hearing 2 stroke bike maintainance is higher than 4 stroke bike? Or some put it this way: 4 stroke is more economical :help:

Cost of buying 2T for 2 stroke bike + it is more fuel hungry than 4 stroke bike. No doubt that 2 stroke bike generally deliver more power.

wat i felt is 4 stroke bike maintainace is more ex then my previous 2 stroke bike, many pple will say cost of 2T but actualli 2T does cost much when u calculate . n wat i felt is if 1 yr how many bottle of 4t iam changing compare to 2stroke bike , confirm more bottle sia for 4 stroke bike. so when i realli calculate it actualli 4 stroke maintance is more ex.
