i got my saddlemen up just last week, with the option of throwing the bags over but i got easy brackets for fast removal.

Think you still need a bracket even if you throw over so that the bags dun swing while you move (or tie the bottom of the bags to some part safe.) It maybe ok if you throw them over your shocks and remove the bags everytime after riding, but i wont feel safe.

And very soon if the bags are not secured wear and tear on both the bags and the bike parts (bag faster) will show quickly.

Thanx for the input! Guess I will have to spend some money on the bracket... many will go get Seng Kwang to fabricate one for me, rather than buying from HD...

My solution for a helmet lock. KuryAkyn Helmet lock, custom mounted to fit at the side of the sissybar.

Thanks Throtttle, ah i see the reason for the high cost of bike tyres now. Let me let u in on an 'open secret', get your tyres from Poh Heng in AMK, very cheap. :thumb:

Good, that's wat i thot about lowering the bike too. I'm trying to keep the bike as stock as possible with every modification having the option to revert back to stock. Gez will just have to resort to my sleek 2-up seats then. Am also looking to the SEII in the near future.

Cheers and hope u get a nice price for your nice sportster dude! :thumb:

Hi, poh heng is a well kept secret, if you ask me..

...

1) does poh heng have a 3rd name? address..

2) white walls?

3) installation? inclusive wif purchase or otherwise

4) cheap with dunlop or metzler? or others

5) any other details of shop, pls

thankz in advance

i got this kryptonite cable lock when i was visiting a harley dealership in the US. yes, it is a thin steel cable, so it is just a minor deterrent. i lock an under $500 dainese half helmet with it. it will be easier to cut the chin strap if someone wanted to steal it. i park at my office building so hopefully no one will bother to bring a cutting tool to cut the cable. i got this cos it offers a little deterrence, cable slips through the D ring, i did not need to bring any key and no messy cables to coil up and stores easily on my bike's mini bag.

I see. I plan to lock my FF helmet and my jacket so I think I better get a thicker lock. But no idea where to get. I tried to order a Python but I think the shipping takes 1 month! SIAN.

i can see why u are keeping this bike, looks really nice and agressive. u should have warned me u have the yellow duck in there... i am now missing mine again...

Yeah I love this bike. It's only 1yr old. There is no way I will let go of it now. Haha I miss my Yellow Duc too. Proud that I've owned it.

This is mine... :)

That's a nice option. But I do not have sissy bar. Thanks for sharing! :)

Yo Throttle,

Mine is STREET Triple .. the little brother of the SPEED Triple .. 675cc only.

Yah man I like the comfortable riding position of Sportsters too. When I went to test ride, they didn't have an Iron. So I test rode a 883R. So comfortable to ride! The gentle vibrations from the engine is so comfortable, like a massage chair  The exact feeling of "just ride". Don't need to bother about anything else. Just ride ..... so shiok.

Hehe you changed your mind about selling already? Don't sell lah :) We'll all go for one big gathering next time.

I love the street/speed triple. Just came back from Australia and saw a lot of Triumph street/speed triples there, all nicely done up. Really tempted to go back to street fighters again... haha...

Yah I know that one! Haha! Really nice bike. Same thinking as you, something more easy-riding. No point getting another hardcore bike as a 2nd bike (for me).

Wah tell me about it man! I can't wait also! I'm more anxious than you! OK I'll come clean first. I'm riding a Triumph Street Triple 675 at the moment. Many pple mistaken it for the Speed Triple 1050. Below is one picture of it. More pictures are at http://picasaweb.google.com/simck79/Motorcycling#.

Hey you got your bike already right! Pictures leh????

Haha! You're not wearing full face helmet? If full face then no problem. How much is the lock?

I'm thinking of getting the MasterLock Python. It's length is adjustable. It's called Python because of the why it looks. But don't know where to buy in Singapore. A review by WebBikeWorld: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-lock/master-lock-python/python.htm

You quite the bike freak. The Ducati is nice, same color as my bike :thumb:

I bought the cable from home-fix for about $10/-. Managed to file to fit the d ring. The cable is using a 4-digit number lock.

Sorry bro, I think they only sell car tyres. :cheeky: If you still want the details just let me know and i'll post it here.

Besides getting the cable lock, i also got myself a hand grip exerciser from world of sports because using the clutch is like using the hand grip! hahaha!

After my first ride, on top of getting used to the bike, the traffic and finding my way around, my left hand was like tofu siang. If this is not sacrificing for a HD ride, i don't know what is man. :faint:

Cheers!

Talking about bags, i thought i read somewhere in the forum that there is a shop that custom make leather bags to measure for bikes but i can't seem to find it anymore. Anybody know where that is or if there is even such a place?

I figure it may be cheaper than ordering a leather one from the states and somemore to our own specification.

Yeah that's probably the one.... For me, no money to buy 2nd bike, but I'll make do by riding mine like a street fighter...
