Oops, I went to Racewerks instead. 12K servicing is quite simple job and my partner is doing most of the stuff for me, so asking Racewerks to do oil change, timing belt and idle speed. (OK I know this kind of job other bike shop also can do, but wanna try out the place mah...) Price seemed reasonable except my partner screamed at the idle speed charge. He said WHY SO EXPENSIVE I CAN DO FOR U ALSO hahaha.

I guess I will seek either Raymond or Michael (yeah I know pple got different views about each) when more complicated jobs are due like change timing belt. But the waiting time is reallyzzzzzz... hahaha.

Shoots you:). ... Minerva is good for the first few servicings but remember they charge by the hour. ...

Minerva now charges by the hour? They have dropped the system of a fixed rate for a specific job?

When I was using them some years back I thought that their system was fair e.g. specified in a manual that it is 0.5 hr for oil change = $XX/hr for labour x 0.5, regardless whether the mech took 1 hour or 20 mins; at least there was certainty. So now go by the hour means labour is based on actual time? Darn.

For simple jobs no la. For bigger jobs like valve shims etc yup.

Dreamed I was a muffler. Woke up exhausted.

Isn't the charging per hour still the same as you were charged? The format is the same. They go according to manual and charge you by the specified time which is in hours. I think the rate per hour increased by $10. Correct me if I am wrong.

Saw those, that's why was asking you about the belt cost. Worth it to order from desmotimes?

Yes, if not i put down for what? As long all ben's stuff and this fit into the standard box it wont increase shipping price.

there are rearsets if i never remember wrongly from sato racing but they come up to about either $700 or $900 including shipping, thus i skipped that mod.

Cheers, thanks for that!

I wonder whether (and if so, what) there are any after-market rearsets for the Monster 400?

Just fitted a gel seat on my monster. So my stock M400 seat is up for grabs. It's still in pretty good condition with no wear and tear. Any offers let me know!

Am riding a 98 monster which runs on a mph meter. working fine.

Does that mean when it shows 100mph, it really means 100kph? =)
