i think it was unfair to include the 675 in the shootout.. 75cc is jz way too much.. and its not a japanese bike.. do u think its fair to compare a cbr919 with a ducati 916? i dont think so.. continental bikes have their own category.. a 919 is too powerful to be compared to the 916 v-twin..

 

but still cant say all those mags are wrong.. the triumph costs so much more when the jap bikes are kinda cheaper..

 

since u say the 675 is the best bike, i wanna know.. u bought the bike, is it?

Last Friday (about 25 sportsbike) went Kulai for a blast.

1 of the R6 (Black heavily mod) did 290 plus!!! He was sticking behind the ZX12!

sorrie ehem, i dun mean anithing in my post, caz u see last time kawa oso 636cc, abit more give take oso counted as middle weight, so for me, i think middle weight below 700cc is acceptable. on the thing abt jap vs brit bikes, its up to individual self, however, there are very limited numbers on the production line of triumph.(sighz) and no, i have yet to get the 675 YET.have to save more to get that bike...oh if, 675 is not in this poll, i would take the R6 followed by suzuki 600/honda CBR600.

 

r6 is really well developed with all the racing tech passed down to it. love the sound of it too.(though i use 675's revving as my hp ringtone.heh)

 

comparing 20k for r6 and 23-25k for daytona 675, i guess the cheaper one and more spares availablity will appeal more to e public.

 

since xmas and my birthday is coming, can anione give me a daytona 675??

I tested 276km my 06 R6 stock. No ball to go somemore.

My K5 600 hit 278 km/h with Akrapovic Bolt-on End Can, PC III.

Half a year later i mange to squeezed out another 11km/h (289km/h)more with a Yoshimura full-system, and some other goodies.

 

Therefore i am not surprised that the new generation 06' R6 and the new K7 600 can do better than that. Even the K6 750 is able to clear meter already.

 

(All speed mentioned above are based on speedometer on the bike, not on dyno meter machine.)

 

Too bad my Duke now can hit only 250 plus on the straights. So guys, next time see me give chance k???

i've tried my k5 600cc, can go up to 275km....its a stock bike aniwae...

last time i try my r1 03 model, meter reach 299km, so i dun noe hw fast it go.... but not stable wen ride dat fast....

 

 

 

my fren tried his r6 07 2gether wif me, damn dat bike is sure fast.... pick up, distance, it takes all..... he told me dat his bike can go 280+ km... hmm...

My EX R1 02 can only mange 287km/h only! At least u have seen 299 on ur meter before...

The stock 600s can't hit 280km/h, maybe possible on the speedo but probably not actual speed. The fastest the 06 R6 clocked on the GPS was 268.7km/h. Sportrider magazined clocked the 06 R6 fastest at ~269.5km/h.

 

My stock 06 R1 showed 299 on the speedo, but the GPS clocked ~295 km/h at maxed out.

been thinking of this for 2 years.. wondering should i get class 2 and which bike? a 600cc or 1000cc? my current feeling is y get a 600 when i can go for a much powerful 1litre bike at class 2? is it because of the design or ? i admit the new 600cc melts my heart but when i think its 600cc,i got a strange or sad feeling its not 1 litre... so wat to get? 1000cc or 600cc.....

hi , if i am nt wrong ...for 400cc the horsepower is 53, while 600cc is 115 lk tt. So do u tink 600cc is worth it? litre wil b 175 ba.

 

For me, wat is withdrawning mi fm upgrading is the $$$ issue. Mainly on the insurance.
