Fast to pick up?

Hi,

I haven't bought a bike yet. But I would like to know which bike is fast to pick up. Or is it due to engine therefore, I saw some bikes on the road start off slowly at a traffic??

Most 2b bikes pick up is slightly faster than a normal car for a few secs only.

I think it is not which bike is fast to pick up but most of the time is how fast your response to gun that throttle upon green light.

Those clutchless bikes are quite fast pickup...e.g wave...

 

Scramblers also pickup damn good..

 

For other bikes, have to change to bigger sprocket etc if want fast pickup...

i think scoots are the clear cut winners or maybe i'm just too slow (i was riding my xr4 when i could hardly keep up with a 200cc maxi scoot)

well if u put a drz4sm with a ktm2.. ktm2 pick up sure win... but after that the drz will pick up from behind.. is a 4 stroke...
