Worth every single cent. More so if you wanna track. (Plus gold forks are just so much nicer) Ohlins are much better than Showas. Anyway Ben, the SF seat height is much much much taller than your Z1000.

I love my Ohlins - even before I go for bike set up.

J, sat on the S model. More manageable than the current bike, maybe already lowered. Now looking to see if there are any used S besides the excel one.

No, I find it smaller than super4 when you seat on it.

it sure feels smaller but the feeling is altogether different.

I never sat on it, I just saw a white bike park beside me last weekend when having supper at woodlands initially I thought it was a FZ6 from the headlight, but look closely it bears a Ducati on the fuel tank. I was very curious to saw a Ducati bike smaller than my Z750 so I look more closely there are brembo brakes and ohlins forks.

Visually it look small maybe because of the short tail board.

But the footprint from tip to toe should be longer right?

Not sure about the foot print, it looks very small, short and compact more like a 400cc ducati monster beside my Z750, also my Z750 fuel tank 18L is quite wide hence looks very much bigger than the SF. Anyway just buy the SF and meet up with the Zed members to compare the size to see for yourself.

I read the MCN, and the review is very much favor for the triumph ST than SFs mainly for value for money and the low end torque they find its not to their expectation. Maybe MCN is UK based hence its more biased towards the UK bike manufacturer. Riders of SFs comment differently and favor the SFs.

Anyone know the price of gen 1 valve cover gasket (p/n 11061-1165) in Msia? I got a quote of SGD$55 here.

Just want to compare to see whether worth it to make a trip to get it from JB or KL.

Let me know if any of you guys want to order locally. 1 to 2 weeks to get it.

You confirmed yours is head gasket leak? Think I'll bring my bike down to my local mech tomorrow and get his opinion whether it's head gasket or sensor gasket. Don't want to buy the wrong thing.

There is oil weeping all along my valve gasket on the left side. I think it is dripping on to the cam sensor. How about yours? All the oil stains below the valve gasket? Anyway, time to do valve clearance as well

No worries I am fine, I already solder all the wires, just need to open up the head cowl and join the wires that;'s all.

BTW let me know how much for the valve clearance, as I intend to DIY to check mine if its out then send to mech to do.

I am using Diablo Strada, these are sport toruing tires, single compund, with very deep tire grooves.

I like the tires so far after approx 400km, its very stable and gives me the confident to lean further and faster through corner compare to my old tires, Michelin Pilot Power 2CT from the ex owner which was already quite worn out. But the Michelin looks more stickier even though its worn, can see sands and tissue paper sticks on the tires like glue.

I have never gone through wet weather on the new tires yet, for the dry it feels stable even over the white lines.

I managed to strike a deal with VPOST to close the case by paying the shipping cost base on the actual weight of the package, in addition another $20 off for first time customer of DBS credit card. :p

Shipping cost $60 compare to the initial amount of $288

Ok thanks for the review, I've previously used Dragon Supercorsa. It is the stickiest **** I've ever used. When it's warmed up during a hot day, the tyre gives me so much confidence in corners. I scrapped my right toe on those tyres. I just changed to Rosso II, apparently they are 70% road tyres 30% track use. So far doesn't seem as sticky, but warms up much faster. Pirelli says there are very good at wet, but I don't ride in wet. Haha

See a few bros selling their Zeds!

DIY the EO today, wanted to buy the carlube fully syn motor oil, ($8.90 per 1L bot) but is no longer sold in Giant hyper mart. I find the EO quite good, gear change and engine still smooth after 5000km.

Went to Mah motor (opp SLT) the lady boss recommend a value for money fully syn EO. ELF 10w50 which cost only $15 per 1L bot (DIY price). Its only $2 more compare to Maxima semi syn engine oil. Since I be chaining EO almost every 3months (5000km) the ELF EO suits my budget.

Also bought spark plugs Denso U27ETR equivalent to NGK CR9EK from KS motor opp GMAX behind LAB. It cost $8 per plug and its in Suzuki Genuine Package, so no worries of getting fake or refurb spark plugs. Going to DIY when the fuel almost used up, so lighter to remove the fuel tank.

Total damage: $77
