Sad.

Pedestrian suffering from "Deer in the headlights" syndrome. Just stood there and stared at an oncoming vehicle and wait for the hit. o_O

Unbelievable, these ppl.

Anyway, get well soon and hope the TP doesn't find u in the wrong. She did jaywalk right?

Plz take note guyz n galz... Pedestrian jaywalking or not, if we riders/drivers hit them, we're at fault... The fault is : Failing to keep a proper lookout...Gt demerit pts + summon... Can argue in court but at the end of the day we riders/driver still liable for the accident...

The liability depends on how the pedestrian got hit...E.g, If its a 3 lana road and the pedestrian got hit on the 1st lane that he just cross then rider kena not so teruk... If 2nd lane or 3rd lane then its terrible coz u will be consider to fail to keep a proper look out... U can argue that the pedestrian was running across the road but tp wud say, since u saw y didn't u slow down ??... U will say, I braked hard but the distance too near already n cant avoid... then tp will say : ur speeding then... No matter how u argue, they can counter attack n still u be liable... Unless u hit a cyclist whom crossing the rd while on the bicycle, then got chance its not ur fault..How I know ?..I kena b4...not pedestrian but cyclist...

Moral of the story is.. Dun speed, but if u must coz of emergency (not late for work or late to mt gf = lame excuses) the be very careful...Mishaps can happen in a split seconds w/o u knowing it n if u know it, by the time its too late...

Thats where the powerband is.

From max torque rpm to max hp rpm.

If he had tried launching off from a standing start from idle rpm... the bike would have been smoked.

Preferably.. it is holding the rpm at close to red line and slipping the clutch as the bike moves off... keeping it in the max torque range. Only thing is... you might end up doing a long wheelie coz it will be hard to keep the front from lifting.

PS - go to a track and try this out...not on the public road please.

I totally agree wit u bro... Most times u will hear riderz moaning n groaning how slow their bikes were n wanted to mod to e max..But most of the times its not about the bikez but its e riders themselves who got problem.. :faint:

saw an fz just now in batok area, before lights went green he already went ahead more than half of the junction. Kinda dangerous :giddy: same for many traffic lights. Maybe because he can pick up faster so its "safer" to him

This is what emboldens jaywalkers. They can just cross the road and pin the blame on the driver that hits them.

Plus one for the foreign labor found in Tekka and Geylang area. Power to the people. o_O

Yupz.

The power of stupidity.

Like attempting to cross the road at a traffic light junction....

AFTER the light has gone to Red Man.

Me and my bro-in-law on seperate bikes almost hit one as we were about to move off coz an idiot decided that he can cross the a 4-lane road in Serangoon in the space of 2 seconds.

Ended up holding the whole traffic up while he stops in the middle of the road to get off his bicycle and push all the wayu across.

Haiz....

Its like, these people really deserve the Darwin Award and be permanently removed from the gene pool.

Hey guys.....

I saw one P-plate rider with pillion last night along SLE (towards CTE/TPE) using his H/P messaging throughout wor. He's Ichiban, great...skillful? Well....PURELY STUPID I would say!!! And I pity his pillion. He swayed in & out between lanes and almost got into collision several times as he's not concentrating on the road.

May god bless hi......s pillion.....

Ride safe ppl....

Well, yesterday while I was passing Geylang, I nearly hit this dumbfuuck that just crossed the road in a ya-ya fashion.

Traffic was standstill gridlock, and bikes were crawling in between cars. I was trailing a kup kia at 3 car lengths, doing just 20+ kph. This 50-ish looking dude (looked like a localized ang moh fella) was crossing the road between the standstill cars.

His numbskull was obviously above the height of the cars and he could see down the road and traffic. He obviously saw me coming but either didn't give a rat's ass, or expected me to worship the ground he's about the step on and give way to his royal high-dumbfuuck-ness.

So he just continue to trot out into my way at half a car length away, forcing me to grab a handful of brakes and screech, tyre locked, to a stop while he just jumped back a skip. I just roared out "FUUCK!" at him, while he act blur and ran away.

He had better thank his lucky stars that it wasn't a truck that couldn't stop in time.
