After looking at the last pic, I lost my appetite for supper. RIP to the fallen rider
The rider is still alive if you must know. Might want to read more before jumping to conclusions.

Hmmm?? I didn't know it is an offense to follow behind an emergency vehicle. I only know it is an offense not to give way to emergency vehicles. Of course when I mean follow I will still keep my safety distance.

Why I do that? It is smoother and safer than to lane split in a dead slow jam. :cheeky:

There are many offences unknown to many. Which we will usually learn when we get fined for.

We live in a society where "I didn't know" is usually followed by "Pay the fine, now then you know"

@duo. Ya but i read tat e leg cant attach. :(

@Forhod. I dun think theres a specific law statement tat says its illegal to follow behind emergency vehicle. I meant its illegal to tailgate. Becoz it is a form of dangerous road usage. (i use e word road usage becoz riding or driving also can tailgate. ^^)

@nullified. Usually if 1st time can appeal with high chance. Which is y some times pple will advise u not to appeal if small matter. Save for big matter then appeal. But if dangerous road usage usually cannot appeal. Becoz a bit overlap with criminal intent. (intention to hurt)

He is still alive? Where? At least that's good news. However, he definitely have to get a faux leg fixed on him. There is one guy in our group who is still riding with his iron leg. All is definitely not lost.

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Cannot re-attach. Lets hope and pray he is strong enough to carry on.

If you must know I too suffered with really serious injuries. How serious you may ask? Lets just say that the doctors feel that my survival is a miracle. Am still recuperating up till now. Lets hope and pray for him too. May God give him the strength to carry on.

Motorcycle & its components are replaceable & rebuildable.

The human body don't work this way.

The human body takes time to heal & recover, it might even break and cannot be fixed.

Please set your priority right.

No such thing as could afford to buy a bike but couldn't afford appropriate riding gears.

We are not famous racers or even paid to ride, protect yourself with riding gears to minimize the pain & injuries from the crash.

Bicycle a danger to himself

[video=youtube_share;-egxWfEIb6E]

Car crossing line. Physically saw 3 times but only found 2 times in video. This is actually EXTREMELY common but i will still try submit to TP.

Car crossing line at a Carpark Spiral. This is also EXTREMELY common but way more dangerous than on the road. Becoz in the carpark during the spiral, space is limited and stupid lousy drivers still like to go fast... Car big, wan fast, little space. Super recipe for accident.

not wanting to side the driver in the 3rd video but sometimes it's the design of carparks/roads that makes it difficult to stick to the lane even though one is going slow. there's 1 HDB carpark at Bedok Reservoir whereby only 1 car can enter/exit even though it's a 2 way lane. Causeway Point carpark is also not very vehicle friendly

Think shopping center multi storey carparks with spiral rams everyone drive like that one lah. :(

You don't believe go and stand at the ram there as a pedestrain during weekends lunch hour, 1 hour can catch hundreds and hundreds of them. Literally.

When I drive also see alot of people drive like that, scared scratch bumper on the wall, cross over the middle. :faint:

Driving school's crank course is to train drivers to be able to negotiate a turn like that in the 3rd video...

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

@xueling. no worries. It is good to hear different opinions. But when opinions differ then there will be discussions.

I patron this shopping mall alot. And well i agree e design is not tat good but i assure u tat it is not very difficult to achieve a good driving line up e spiral without crossing e line. Just need 2 things.

1) slow down

2) keep left

Sounds stupid? But it is true. Most of e cars i c crossing e line r going faster than e usual 20km/h in carparks. And there is space on their left.

Maybe car big, maybe car expensive, maybe lousy driver. Then y go fast? its e same as on e road isnt it? If u r lousy dun go fast. Then again most of e lousy un think they r lousy. So i hope tp will send a letter to let them noe they r lousy

@SILenthunter. Yes totally agree. At these spirals, almost every car beside myself will go fast and dun keep ledt. I would say more than 50% of wat i see crosses e line. (wat i see only at this carpark)

Its good to get different views and opinions. That way we learn things and we will tend to see things from more than one perspective. That way we would be able to incuclcate the 'live and let live' attitude and we will be able to co-exist in harmony which is something that I have not seen much now than when I was growing up. Another example of a badly designed car park is the one at my place. As you can see its a two way in and out but the lane does not really allow a car to go out and in at the same time. Should have made it a one way so to exit you go one round instead.

Tat night when i went over, thought tat e space looks ok for 2 car to move in/put at e same time.

I suspect is cars going too fast in e carpark and take e turn near where i park tats y. Remember tat most carparks r design for 20km/h spd. If u wish to go higher than e spd indicated, e control, skill and factors will be different.

Which is y u can take e bend at e track at such a high spd but e same bend on e road u will be taking a huge risk

not TODAY while riding but on Monday...

I was turning right from Bedok South towards the AYE when I heard a klunk that made me pull over and check what's wrong... to my horror, my STOCK exhaust was dangling... it's meant to be secured to the swing arm by THREE bolts and I'm stupendified that all 3 were missing, rode from Bedok to workshop in AMK at 50km/h to reduce vibrations and got it bolted back. Next thing I know, I started the engine and the bike sounded like a lawn mower... liao... header confirm cracked... so they unbolted the entire exhaust, welded it and bolted it back again...

Situation normal so far...

Last night, I went to check the bolts after riding...

TWO were missing... wtf... how can this happen...?? There's only 1 bolt left securing the exhaust quite tightly but TWO bolts dropping again? wth...

Today while riding to work this morning jam along ECP before Suntec exit, was lane splitting between lane 1 & 2. I spotted a big bike keeping extreme right of lane 2, so I anticipated he might also lane split when lane 2 traffic comes to a stop.

So I slow down my speed further and ride more cautiously as I'm nearing him. Just as I was about to pass beside him, he suddenly lane split on my left which is impossible for me to do E Brake. Fortunately for me lane 1 has one car length space for me to swerve in, which then comes to a complete stop.

Luckily for me that my speed was slow and I did anticipate his move. But he failed to check his blind spot and filter right to lane split which I'm already beside him almost resulted a possible accident. Grrr... :sian:

This kind of thing must tell him/her if possible to communicate safely. Sometimes they really dun realise. :(
