Resulting from wheel imbalance. Especially on cars with big tire and wheel mass. On bikes seldom need balancing. Some racers say. If you remove it and nothing happens. Well.. Nothing happens then.

Riding home and entering my estate when i saw an old ah ma pushing trolley full of newspapers entering d carpark oso. I stopped to drop off my pillion, turned to look at her n saw all of her newspapers drop all over the road. Saw 3 youngsters nearby jux look at her. So pitiful. Took off my helmet n ran over to put back her newspapers. disappointed wif d bystanders. Tsk tsk!

Something happened to me just now ard 6pm at AYE towards tuas near jurong bird park..

Was travelling fast at lane 1 with 2 cars infront of me.. Suddenly i notice that the 1st car infront was swaying to the centre divider.. Thot maybe that driver sleepy so i try to avoid it and change to 2nd lane. But what happens next was so fast and slow.

 

Suddenly, the car infront of me swerved to 2nd lane also.. What i saw was a 2m long wooden pole with at least a thickness of 10x10cm lying on the road.. The car tried to siam but he rAn it over.. The thing flew about waist length and im heading to its direction. It was too fast for me to swerve to other lane as traffic is quite heavy..i had no choice but to braise for impact. Held on to my handlebar tightly and hope nothing worst will happen as i have my dearly pillion with me. And when the moment comes, i braked and it hit my tyre!! It wobbled very hard but i was ready for it.. Didnt saw where the wood went and i hope its by the shoulder.. I was stunned for the next 5mins and tried to recollect what just happened.. Im blessed today. I thank my God for that.

Thats a super close call for u man. Very glad that you're ok. And your pillion too. Great work in keeping calm upon impact. Hate those wooden planks. I ever saw a trailers tire just manage to clip one end of the plank, and swing the thing up mid air. I kid not but if a biker was nearby it would've smashed the riders head.

these kind of objects on the road really killer man. that route is frequented by trailers carrying construction materials, maybe never secure properly and it dropped.

 

you were lucky man, very lucky.

U always can see wooden planks just left to lie on the trailers without being secured. Once they hit a bump on the road or take a corner the only thing we can bet on is how far will the unsecured item fly.

Like others said, thankfully u stayed calm and manage to avoid an accident. Will take note of tat area and be alert if ever go there.

1) ur file size before upload how big?

2) ur camera record in wat format?

3) during edit, does e video feel laggy as compared to viewing in vlc?

4) wat format u save as before uploading?

Frankly I could care less. Its all converted by movie maker and youtube. I could not be bothered to adjust one by one. If I am not wrong the cam records in avi. Only viewed in vlc as I feel its the only great standalone player out there.

Thanks for the replies guys, re-read the article it seems that I roughly understand how it works.

 

Took out the weight plates, so far so good, vibrations and handling still the same.

Its ballistic battery mah. LiFePo type not conventional type. More powerful n less drain. Good for bike nt used frequently.

You will never know. People always get carrot when they least expect it. If you must know I frequent the shop almost regularly the first time they started which was at eunos industrial. Its almost become my hangout place. I recommended anyone I knew then to their shop. Compare to their service then and now I would say the former was better. But thats just my opinion.

tdy while riding home from work on PIE towards Tuas..

 

accident along CTE (SLE) entrance so jam till quite far behind. I came out from KPE already can see jam till the flyover towards PIE so decided to lanesplit. I was following behind a phantom and there was ample space between us (abt 2 bike lengths). halfway thru, i overtake the phantom as he was already moving into the middle of next lane so i continue to lanesplit. suddenly got 1 car on my left decide to signal and straight away want to lane change to the next lane. the lane on my right was still jam pack with cars. I didnt give way to the black car as my front tyre was very near his rear tail light when he signal. Driver keep inching towards me as i went thru so i horn while i keep as near to the car on my right as possible. Despite hearing my horn, driver kept inching his car towards me (his headlight was very near my left leg), his actions made me feel like kicking his bloody car.

 

aft that incident i continue to lanesplit cuz all the lanes still jam. Silver car abt 1.5 bike lengths further down on my right decides to lane change to the left w/o signalling. At 1 bike length distance away, I saw his tyres already cross the dotted lines abit so i high beam to let him know my presence and at the same time slow down. Driver continue to lane change like as though i didnt exist and i just keep horning him. Went beside him and saw his window wind down, gave him the "WTF u trying to do" hand and rode off.

 

another accident on lane 1 along PIE aft adam road.. I was lane splitting again and the msia kup behind keep tailgating, all the lanes were jam pack so it's hard to give way even if i want to. Vehicles on my both sides kept closing the gap making it hard for me to lanesplit and i had to brake hard for a few times. Every time i brake hard, i can hear the msia kup braking sound. Aft awhile, msia kup decides to lane change and we meet again at the bend towards BKE. I was behind a SP and the msia kup behind me. SP was travelling slow and msia kup decides to overtake SP dangerously from the right in the bend.

 

Seriously dun understand these msia kup riders. they ride as though their lives are freaking cheap. I used to ride a kup so i know it is easier for kups to lanesplit during jams but at least understand a bit lar. my bike bigger than a kup, cars on my left and right keep closing the gap making it hard for me to lanesplit also mah. All the lanes are jam pack i also cannot give way mah

Btw. Last night kena wash wipe liquid from two idiotic Europeans car drivers. No courtesy ********. Honk my hella and fiamm horn and pointed my index finger at him due to sheer anger. First time rode bike until blood boil despite being air cooled.

As I swerve out of the way, I swing my arm up to say "WTF", end up the driver come chase me with horn blaring.

 

when we stop one side to "quarrel", the uncle make up fairy tale and say I smack his mirror (DEFINITELY DID NOT HAPPEN), that he got photo on his phone and his wife witness. Summore give the usual "I SIGNAL ALREADY WHAT!?"

 

Bloody fool, obviously I know he talking cock, that split second he can whip out phone take photo? He signal already the whole road become his one? Never even glance at mirror or blind spot just swerve out.

 

Luckily I was travelling quite slowly, if not I might have flipped over his bonnet and he come scold me scratch his car while I wait for ambulance..

Today while riding...

 

I was on the left most lane waiting for the traffic light to turn green under the hot sun. finally the light turned green and zoom I went.

 

then 50m ahead I see this lancer coming out of the filter lane. gave a short horn to gain attention. thinking the car will stop I proceeded.

 

however, the car continued moving. filter between the lanes to siam him. damn close!!!

 

the car then proceed to change lane to the right and nearly got hit by the oncoming pickup cause he didn't check blind spot! luckily the pickup driver had fast reflexes!

 

then traffic light again. stopped beside the lancer to tell him try to speak to him nicely. but the driver actually ignored me totally.

 

I am sure he saw me beside his car. he then adjusted his mirror, moved his specs and took his phone out. totally ignoring my existence. didn't want to touch his car to prevent complications.

 

then traffic turned green and he just went off. just gave him my thumbs down and continued.

 

why got these kinda drivers?!?!?!??!

These rude drivers got no regard for anyone else other than themselves..

 

They put other people's lives and safety at risk without a due care, but when it comes to themselves, little bit only blame others.

 

They will say "Oops sorry lor, also not my fault" when they cause injury in an accident, but scream and shout till high heaven for a tiny scratch on their car.

 

Sadly, no matter what happens, riders will always get the short end of the stick. Drivers can afford to drive recklessly, at most $$$ damage. But for riders, it's their lives at stake. Even if you're the safest rider, one moment of carelessness by such drivers will still affect you more.
