Saw the aftermath of an accident, had a close one too.

 

 

Ya hope e rider is ok. Do be careful of such drivers also. Although e lorry was far away (cant c in e video if signal from so far distance) but really some road users expect vehicles behind to die die give way.

 

For me, i will c my spd, in this situation when i c 2 lanes jam like tat i already noe got problem ahead and surely some vehicles will do such a thing. Thus my spd will be low and will give way when i can. Dun wan to be like e rider tat kanna e suv. (remember tat video?)

 

Btw ur brakes ok? Can hear e metal on metal sound when u braked.

Sometimes, I would think of just hitting his car anyway and claim his insurance... But after all the sh!tty accidents I've been involved in, I can't help but avoid this unnecessary sh!t... bike in the workshop for 3 months and I can only claim 1 week for loss of use? Wtf insurance law is this? Bike in workshop for 3 months, mc a few days, only can claim 1 week Loss of use? Then what happened to the balance 2 months and 3 weeks which I have to take public transport to work? Non claimable? They think bikers enjoy getting into accidents? Lame...

Its sad. But they always think just because they signal that they have right of way hence the simultaneous signal and change lane move was started. Thankfully you are safe. Did something similar before on way back from work. A friend was cut by a taxi. Got the rest of my colleagues to cut the taxi back and slowed down riding side by side blocking it like we were a barricade. Driver had to LLST just follow behind till he made a right turn.

It happened years ago before there were onboard cameras available for the masses. I fail to see how it would be reckless riding if we were ahead of the taxi and signalled? We also make sure it was safe to change into his lane.

Coz u said after e taxi cut ur group then e rider cut him back. I assume tat u guys doing it to disturb e taxi. If it is done so safely then dun think its a bother to e taxi. Thus i made e wrong assumption tat u guys did it dangerously. So if its not a bother to e taxi, then dun understand wat u meant by "cut" e taxi. Lol

 

Even if tat time dun ve onboard cam, wat do u think pple's opinion is when theres a accident involving a taxi and a group of riders?

 

My point is, dun try to take revenge on e road, not worth it. Regardless of which generation. Unless u r sure u can drag e driver out of his car, beat him out and get away with it. But seeing tat it is not so easy to do such a thing, dun do it. Touch wood thing happen, rider lose out. In e end may need to even pay e cost.

 

In this generation where on board cam is common, even less worth to take such actions. U wan, discipline urself to always ve e cam active. Report TP and pray. No matter wat, in sg, if u take matters into own hands, u already giving e driver ammo to argue against ur case.

The taxi did not cut the whole group. Just cut by suddenly swerving into the lane my colleague was travelling. Our cutting the taxi is one with proper care and manners. We got ahead of the taxi about 2 to 3 cars length before so called 'cut' the taxi by changing to the lane it is in and we decreased our speed.

 

 

A vid from a yesterdsy's night ride. After almost sideswiping a rider it goes on to almost sideswiped me. I had to swerve to get out of the way however I did make sure on my right the lane was clear. Thank you Mr taxi driver. But still no excitement. Sorry if it wasted your time.

Please take note... Serious Road Traffic Accident involving 2 cars and a bike on the extreme right lane of SLE towards woodlands from tampines after Mandai exit... Ambulance should have arrived by now... Rider was rolling on the floor when I went pass him... Seems like the driver change lane when he was lanesplitting on his scrambler... Take note...
