Saw something 2days ago. Ve to admit tat it was my 1st time seeing such situation. Was LS between lane 1/2. About 3 car in front i saw a kup preparing to filter in, so i slow down let him since i was slow and traffic was high. So might as well i let him first as i LS slow.

 

So he got into e LS lane and started slowing down. No brke light yet. Then brake light came on. All this while his left hand was at his left jeans pocket like got ants or sonething. Then i saw it, he dug out his handphone and look at it, while braking...

 

Then he proceeded to stuff e HP into his helmet and suddenly speed off. O.O

 

Really dunno if this guy is power or too skill or too stupid. Traffic was medium thus we can easily LS more than 60. His 1st braking was becoz nearly kanna vehicle in my opinion. But can still continue to answer call. Maybe 1st thing he say is "f***, ur call nearly killed me!"

Opposite of me. I have and will never answer a call while I am riding. Not even if it is an important call or while waiting at the traffic light for the red light to turn to green. If its really important I will find a place to park and call back. Should have horned at him many times. If he got shocked and suddenly lost control of his bike then too bad. He should not even bother about the phone in the first place. But then not everyone is like me.

I've seen something of that sort. Used to ride KJE to sch in the mornings. Saw this M'sian Kup on Lane 2, rider suddenly stood up while traffic was smooth flowing(70-90kmph). Reached down with hand to take out phone from jean pocket. Wobbled a little, then sat down n stuffed phone between cheek and helmet.

 

Have to give it to that guy.

I bet you she's looking at the left to make sure no traffic coming from that direction before proceeding out to cross over. She had checked where you were coming from but at that time, you were not there, so she assumed you're not there.

 

I say that from experience because a few months ago in Brisbane, I was the same victim of the same circumstances. I saw where the driver was looking and when she looked front, she saw me and her face went pale with shock. I think I posted this before but I can't find it

Must be overtake already, when side by side, the rider is in his lorry's blind spot, the driver just check mirrors and turn without turning his head to check blind spot.

From what i've observed, the bloody lorry was tailgating him for quite a distance. I estimated the gap to be less than a car length. Thus, the rider shouldn't have let the lorry be in that position for so long coz confirmed will get run over if he happen to self-skid.

 

Speaking of the driver, i just don't get what the hell he's trying to do! Doing an overtaking without signaling? Without checking his blindspot? Lane changing at a bend?

 

Is the video dated on 21st Sept 2010? If so, the rider should have long recovered. Hope that he is wearing some protection equipments since then.

Nope.. According to the uploader, the video owner didn't set his time stamp correctly. If u look closer, it actually says 9pm. Too bright to be 9pm. Haha. Video was taken last Friday afternoon..
