Was riding last night. Approached a junction and the light was in my favour. Best thing was the cars making a right turn was not waiting patiently in the right turn pocket. Instead was waiting at the area for pedestrians to finish crossing. Horned a couple of times to indicate they are blocking my way. Knowing fully well they cannot do anything I had to swerve into the pedestrian crossing area to avoid a collision. Would have rammed into these cars if I was driving.

This morning rain was so bad it flooded. Or as MSM will say it as ponding. Even as a pedestrian I had to walk in about six inches of water to go to work. So much for it only happens once in 50 years. I must be like 100+ years old already.

raining day and slow traffic today. was lane splitting, or rather maneuvering at stand still traffic to the front. lightly touched a car's side mirror. pop the side miror came off!!!! damn lousy mirrors i'd say. stopped and put it back while driver muttering something lol. waved sorry and rode off.

haha, a few months I did something similar.

I was riding my market bicycle (cheapo carrefore bike with front basket and rear carry rack) back from buying a case of beer.

I had the case tied down on the rear carry seat and squeezed between some cars queued at a red traffic light on Joo Chiat road.... then bam! my beer case clipped their side mirror. It was a hyundai blue taxi. I had to do the same and pop the mirror back into place.

i had a similiar experience late last year too. was lane splitting when my balancer hit a mirror. the plastic flew and got mowed over by a car. stopped by the side to assist with the "accident" and i managed to retrieve the plastic cover with scratches from the road. i offered to pay for a new mirror due to my mistake but he say its company car so its ok since the cover can be popped back into the mirror.

messaged him few days later to double check and he still says its ok. no need to do anything.

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive

Just came back from work.

An Indian P plater driving delivery lorry, no on headlights, and squeezed me into KJE exit on BKE to PIE.

Irritated by these drivers's mindset, he was at lane 2, I'm 3.

He just had to overtake and squeeze me, instead of going behind me :(

Side note, maybe I'm not fast enough, I'm too slow.

A bike can go up till 200km/h, can the rider go up till 200km/h o_O

Since u noticed that the headlights were off, did u try to inform the driver about it??

Its ok bro, u r not obliged to do so. Just ride safely, nowadays most drivers are ignorant to riders' present.

Lately I notice the motorist in singapore are getting impatient n more selfish... last week encounter a car beside me squeezing into my lane without signal... honk also bochap.. the driver still holding her fon n never look at me...

The same nite another driver also squeezing into my lane without signal as thou he is driving luxiry car must give way to him...

Last nite because of the lanes diversion making way for the new mrt line...n alot of bend.. while negotiating the bend at my own lane a bloody taxi from the right lane going into my lane... and all this happen around seligie.. little india area.. n i think its 1km radius...

Not surprised. Till their safety is in jeopardy they do not care about others. Not even the slightest bit.

Yes correct we're not obliged to inform the driver. But think about it, what if an accident happens because a biker/driver didnt see the car as it has no headlights on. YOU could have made a difference.

Do this, overtake the car, ride real slow in front of him, he horn, you heck care, he change lane, you change lane overtake and ride real slow again. Or go beside him, horn incessantly, scold his mother.

I'm not saying this is a good thing but I've seen Singaporeans drive in Msia and sometimes I hope they get robbed hahahah, no signalling, no giving way, overtake closely, last minute exit etc

yesterday while riding to work in morning.

Saw a bike parked at the RIGHT side of the AYE to ECP. not left side shoulder ah! RIGHT SIDE LANE 1. Silver pulsar.

Bike probably died or stalled or whatever, but dude, its way too freaking dangerous to have your bike stationery there.

Cars were swerving left to avoid this bike.

In such situation, should always make sure your bike can cruise to the left side when you know its stalling or failing.

It was a dangerous stunt you'd performed. Should the driver was half blind and didn't see you coming from the pedestrian crossing and move his vehicle....

Should slow down when approaching traffic junction. If could not go around the car safely at his tail, should have just stop and wait for him to cross.

Bad drivers or bad riders we meet everyday. We have to ride defensively, always stay alert and check your mirrors and your surrounding (have a quick glance at the mirror and your surrounding every few seconds).

When senses a car approaching from behind your right side and the left side tyres on the dividing line, either accelerate so they cut in from behind or slow down to let them cut in in front.

Always ride patiently, else accidents happened, we riders always at the losing end regardless who's right.

Enjoy your ride and ride Safe. Cheers.....:)
