Some stupid car decided to eat into my lane while I was in it, gave an earful of my exhaust, he put up his hand then another idiot decided to follow the car in front and do the same, I sensed danger and pulled up ahead and overtook the 2nd car aggressively, dipsh!t then kept a very far following distance after that.

Hi all, thought I'd share this article with you; it explains why two-wheelers tend to go unseen by drivers.

http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/raf-pilot-teach-cyclists/

I cycle, ride and drive, and really do feel quite blind behind the wheel. If it weren't for my experience on my two-wheelers on the road, I might not know what to look out for.

Good read. Sadly drivers could care less. Some even install curtains on their windows let alone not turning their heads before making lane changes. These will add up to riders being magicians. Look right then left and right again. It never hurts to take another look. :D

No arh, not referring to army bikes. We were talking about our own bikes. He owns a VFR1200 and a Gixxer 1k and goes touring up north very often as well.

I believe he is not a driver. If he were, I'll ride my GL1800 behind him one day with my highbeam on while he drive then he will appreciate it.

Many possibilities. One of them is high chance your carb is flooded. Perhaps you could help us to help you by providing the model of bike you riding? :D

Problem solved. Bike is DR200. When it fell to the left, it hits my clutch lever and made the clutch switch less contactable. Removed the switch from the underside of the clutch lever and cleaned it with alcohol isopropyl. While at it, the switch was full of dirt and grease. Probably another reason why i can't start the motor with the electric start button.

Lets clear this...are we able to use the method where you go 1st lane with right signal on to warn ppl that you are speeding and in an emergency? As in other countries its done in that way to warn other road users....

Some may say yes, but some may say use hazard signal, or some may also say use high beam... For me, fcuk those methods. If i'm in emergency n want to speed, i would transform myself as a ghost rider n ride like there's no tomorrow. Believe me, if u use any of the mentioned method, 99.99% of the road user would ignore u n nonchalantly continue their road hogging like it's their grandfather's road... Hehe.

The method of right signal on right lane would not work in SG. And it is neithera method to indicate we are speeding nor emergency. Its just to indicate that we want to overtake. Drivers hardly care when we are beside them let alone behind them. Think drivers want to let us thru? Think again. They can never accept our tiny vehicles are faster.

U can use it but tat doesn't mean it will work. Likely in Sg, pple will think this bigger forget switch off signal.

wah after seeing the news of the falling tree killing the driving instructor, makes me think twice about riding in heavy rain.. one good size branch will be enough, dont say the whole tree...

See more and more people doing this in NSHW. Usually to signal the road hogger in front. Probably it is a good idea.

But some die hard road hogger don't bother what ever method you use; signal, hi-beam, horn... they simply bo chap.

doesnt work here. tried and tested.

was in a real emergency to rush down to and accident site when my i got a call by my buddy at 4am saying he got into a really bad accident with his legs trapped in the car and is in great pain. rushed down cte as fast as i can and i tried the right signal, the highbeam and the horns. non works with the local drivers i encountered on that trip.

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive

and most of these are sg plates. i dunno about the rest but i siam sg plates on NSHW cos a lot of them cant drive for nuts.

ever encountered a red plate picanto driving at 90 on lane 1, side by side with a tour bus. the line of cars forming behind stretched for 1-2km. the few cars behind the picanto highbeamed, horned, wind down window to give finger also no use. luckily i lanesplitted and siam far far.

then there are the 1.6 racers wannabe who think any bike going faster than them is challenging them to a race. usually leave these people in the dust.
