yesterday after a GO NO GO situation kind of traffic ,

I finally reached my destination. Before parking , I noticed e temp. reading is 113 degrees celcius.

After I switch OFF e ignition , can be heard from e left side of e farring from

radiator side , water boiling .

My question is..is this normal ?

Hope someone can clarify.

Tx in advance.

Using it on my ride. When you get the full oiler set, there are attachments specifically for VFR. The shop will install this for you. Do note that it is rather tedious. Ah Keong at HKL took 1/2 day to install mine. Kudos to him cos he made sure that the needle is nicely positioned & everything is tip-top.

I recommend you go HKL (if you haven't got it yet) and get Ah Keong to install.

Been riding with the oiler for more than 11,000 km. My chain is still shiny and no need for adjustments yet.

Thanks guys for the replies!

Last I did for my Blackbird at HKL was about $60 (I think). It should be around that ballpark figure. If not, you can try Unique Motorsports which distributes Engine Ice.

ok . high temperature problem solved !

thought of just do with flushing n replacing the radiator & coolant

but end up do with other servicing.

guess what , coolant in e spare reservoir tank was @ LOW level.

no wonder e temp. goes up as high as 114degree celsius.!

now e temp. reading goes up e most 103degree celsius e most.

Roger{;4655004']no it dun fit

Sigh... I prefer the vtec version pillon grabs then the 2001.

It is just the mounting points that are different?

Oh, btw, recently when I accelerate, the RPM does not generate the power expected, high rev but does not translate to power.

- originally, only need to clutch in a bit, I will hit the biting point (which I find weird as it is too near to full clutch out, plus no free-play)

Went to Looi's (at closing time, which I really appreciate their good service attitudes) and they had kindly helped to have a look and release some pressure.

- after the pressure is released, the biting point is mid-way between full clutch in/out

Is this indicative of a worn/burnt out clutch plates? Any idea on the costs of replacement for pre-vtec?

Hi,

I know this topic of light bulbs has been asked before. But I don't have the luxury of time to go back page by page to search the history.

So mind if I ask what type of STREET LEGAL (NOT those type of the white-colour superb bright light bulbs) light bulbs are you guys using for your NORMAL head-lights (NOT the high-beam or the two small bulbs below the head-lights which I don't know the name for these two little bulbs)??

My mechanic only has those very very normal "yellowish light" type of bulbs which both blew after a month. I went back to change them and both blew after a month again. I asked them whether they have the original Honda ones, they do not have, thus I am thinking of getting a pair of Philips STREET LEAGL bulbs or Osram brand. Heard such bulbs which costed around S$80 - S$100+ a pair is more long-lasting.

I heard from a friend that Osram brand DO NOT have street legal light bulbs, is it true??

If yes, guess I can only buy Philips bulbs...

I did come across a thread in Garage sales selling Philips bulbs, I can't remember the name of the bulbs the guy is selling. The bulbs has a fanciful name.

So mind if I ask what sort of the Philip bulbs are street legal? Also correct me if I am wrong, our normal head-lights is a H7 bulb, right?? Where can I get such street legal Philips bulbs?? Mustafa??

Thanks very much in advance for any advice.

If my enquiry here seemed stupid and you don't feel like replying, it's okay, but appreciate no flamings. Thank you.
