No lah bro. He means you are not a newbie. The question is.

I had the same problem and add my old one. If you do remember we met at Ah chong and I changed the EO nut. I reused the black rubber so no more leaks.

I sugest don't change, just add another rubber band. Price? Prob. $2. Experience? Priceless:cheeky:

I just love the looks, feel and sound of an old good Guzzi, though it has been around since the time of my Grandfather. I guess "they" don't do things like that anymore! Well it's not true.

"They" still do URALS

ok

but i think i need to wait till my next EO change then call them to add the rubber seal.. but couldn't figure out whether is it the nut that cause the leak or the other side.. cos when i feel the leak it actually on the other side directly the nut also have sign of EO

Same here. Sometimes I thought was at first gear but it was 3rd and I could not kick down. I had to release the clutch and move 2-3inches than be able to kick to gear 1. No idea what's the problem.

guys! help once again my bike has another prob, prob just seem to come endlessly at me.

about 2weeks ago, my petrol was being tapped.

and after that tapping incident, i realised my fuel switch is spoil! i alws leave it ON, but last night(second time) i was riding halfway, then my engine died. so i switched to RES but it didnt work.

i opened my fuel cap and realised there was no petrol!! so i pushed my bike home thru the up and down slope of 2+++km

so i went back home bring my tools to my bike, unscrew the fuel tap(the whole switch thingie) and realised its v dirty. so i went to wash it with petrol tt i bought from SPC and fixed it back.

then i poured in abt 500mL of petrol in and ride with the switch to ON, bike started and i rode around, so this means that the switch is spoil right?

any bro knows where can i get that switch tap replacement? and how much roughly? THANKS

i dont want my bike to die on the expressway!

THANKS GUYS!

Dude, if you turn on the fuel tap/switch and the bike start, it mean that the fuel tap/switch is OK.

What you can do is to remove the fuel line from the fuel tap and turn on the tap. If there is petrol flowing out, it will mean that it OK.

The engine died off probably because there is no petrol in the tank even for reserve.

For the fuel tap/switch, you can buy direct from Chong Aik or Eversucess at Desker Road and DIY.

Hope that helps.

God in his wisdom will protect you

thanks JC, i will try to go Chong Aik or Eversucess to check it out, any idea how much?

basically, my switch is always RES(even tho physically it's at ON), cannot switch to ON.

err and when u unscrew the tap how do you ensure petrol wont flow out? stick your finger in there after u remove the tap? cos i opened mine when de tank was empty(only like 20cents of petrol came out)

if the leak is bad, I'd suggest you have it changed ASAP. You don't want to ruin good parking spaces by dribbling oil all over the place, and you DO NOT want engine oil to get onto your tires. If you gonna delay the change to save that few dollars on engine oil and tahan till the next change, my advice is don't la not worth it. Not to mention that while it's leaking, your EO level is dropping...and engine damage may occur.

You gotta empty your tank (into a bottle or something) before unscrewing the switch.

Apam and Mamduh, i had the same symptoms.

I did what Metalfyre suggested, adjusted the biting point to be further - it worked. Alternatively try to gear down in stages when you slow down.

I have the best signature.
