That happens to me sometimes when I try to kick all the way down from 3/4 gear when coming to a stop. It kinda gets stuck at neutral. But after I release my clutch and pull in again then kick gear it'll be ok.

Also kena kick up from gear 1 to 2 then throttle up expecting to move but it was jammed at neutral. Pull in clutch kick again then will go to 2...

Mine only happens sometimes so didn't think much about it. probably need to adjust clutch cable?

I got this same problem as you.

And also the problem that Tian lei has on not being able to go to neutral from gear 1 when parking. Have to push bike forward a lil then can engage neutral.

I checked with my dad and he told me possibly too much EO.

Perhaps it is too much EO but koon always advise to pour more in. I'll try 1L the next time and post my findings here. That will take another month though.

I also got htis problem of cannot/diffcuilt engaging from neutral to 1st gear.

BikeWorkz (Ah Beng) told me need to change gear level catch (something like that) due wear and tear.

But I went another motorshop and was told too much engine oil after he checked and indeed too much. (I really top up too much over time) Then after oil change, ok now. That was few months back, so far so, and hope no problem on this all the way.

Maybe there are some other problems relating to the diffcuilt gear shifting.

Good place to learn/share things here.

aiya, cannot shift to neutral easily?... Just throttle a bit while clutching in, then kick up gear. it will be a breeze.. thought we're supposed to be taught this back in training time.

Anyway, i have adjusted my clutch a bit and there is some improvement. Now if my problem repeats, i re-clutch in and kick down can liao... at least i know its under control, no stress.

Er.... Ppl, though there is a restriction on amount of EO to be poured.

The TA(200 & C4) can tk @ most up to 1.2-1.3L of EO.

Rmber that a bottle of EO is @ 1L, but when u pour in, not 100% gets into the engine.

@ most if u add another 200-300ml, guess only abt ¾+/-ml gets flow in?

TA200(& C4) are 4 stroke bikes, it uses EO to lubricate & for cooling purposes.

So if u are the rider thats riding the whole day, guess its best to top up till the suggested amount.

Daily(or tantatively) checking of EO is recommened.

Else if u r jus a normal daily commuter whereby u jus ride to & fro to work & hm, 1-1.2L shld be suffice enough.

okay, quick newb qn, can your ta200s shift to Neutral by kicking down from 2nd gear? my ta150 could, but my current ta200 cant. I thought its a TA200 thing till QuietGuy mentioned it - unless he's riding a TA150.

if its a norm to be able to do it, what may be wrong?

so... what did u do?

AhKoon did something to the clutch cable, unsure what exactly, and the usual replacement of EO.

When you guys twist the throttles slowly, the engine should rev and increases smoothly right, such as the rumbling sound will get louder progressively. But when i twist my throttle slowly, the increase in rev is not consistant, its like i turn slowly, then the engine will rev and increase as i turn, then suddenly no increase, then start increasing again. All these while i twisted the throttle from the neutral position. Any reason behind this?

another reason could be the throttle cable is kinked.

12V - 5/18W

Unscrew the red cover, carefully retrieve the bulb to a DIY shop & ask for a replacement.

OR

Jus go to any of the bike shops & ask for a change of rear bulb.
