I often see the Camera Zone signs by the highways and i'm curious what it does . I hear that it only checks the traffic flow any others ?

Riders are naturally more daring then Drivers , cause Riders are constantly facing danger on the road.

If I'm not wrong, you'll see them mostly before ERP gantries on the E-ways.

These cams are there to monitor if road users wait at road shoulders by the EMAS control room... The vehicle numbers will then be given to TP for summons.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

The "Camera Zone" signs basically warn you that you are entering an area whereby it is monitored by surveillance cameras. These cameras are located in certain parts of Singapore only, and it's part of the anti-terrorists measures. Some of such areas are Newton Hawker Centre, Boat Quay, Clark Quay. These cameras are centrally controlled, monitored and recorded by the Singapore Police Force. This was reported in the news around middle of 2005.

Oops, you are right about those by the Highways, just before the ERP Gantries.

Cameras located along expressways for monitoring of traffics are fixed cameras, those cameras that do sneaky things are "half dome' tinted cover type, these have Pan-Tilt-Zoom, and ability to see in low light conditions.

I know,

TP offers photo sessions with motorists too. So if you see a MIW (man in white), stop at the side of the road, give him your camera and let him do the work.

You don't even need to give him your camera...Just open your throttle fully when you pass by them and they will take a complimentary photo of you and your ride along with bonus points to your DIPS status and a whooping amount of fine. :cheeky:

It is better to keep quiet and remain a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubts...
