I went to eat at Amirah's Grill located just two shops away from Kampong Glam Cafe near Bussorah Street last Tuesday. There is steak on the menu but I opted for the set meal for $25++ instead which is a good deal cos for that price I got the following :-

 

1) hummus (not sure what it is but quite tasty)

2) mushroom soup

3) pita and garlic bread

4) iced coffee

5) main course (I got the mixed grilled kebab with rice)

6) single scoop of ice cream

 

I was really full after the meal. The food is good so I was rather curious as to why there weren't any other customers except for my friends and I...

I went to Spaggetti Too again at IMM last Sunday cos I was in the mood for steak. However I think my blood pressure was a little on the high side on that day cos the left side of my neck felt rather strained and I was having a little headache. So instead of eating steak, I changed my mind and opted to eat the grilled chicken chop with cheesy garlic bread instead. Tasty and value for money...

Today I went to Carousel for dinner with my Mrs to celebrate my 14th wedding anniversary. There are a lot of meat dishes for the dinner menu and I went a tad overboard with the meat consumption. Now suffering from a throbbing headache due to meat overdose. As usual, I went for the roasted striplion steak with mushroom sauce as starter and after that, wolfed down many other beef and mutton dishes...

No worries. Anyways if anyone of you are true meat lovers and don't mind if the cost of a buffet meal to be a tad pricier, then I recommend the dinner buffet at Carousel. Price is $58++ but the food menu consist of a lot of meat and seafood recipes. Buffet starts at 6.30pm amd ends at 10.30pm so can eat, talk c.ock sing song and eat again until it closes. Best to make reservations first cos the place is usually very packed. Contact number of the restaurant is 65897799...

I was looking for steak and wine/beer/alcohol last night.

 

Didnt manage to have any. But we walked past a basement cafe type shop at Central Mall, and there is one stall that seems to be selling raw steaks and cooked steak. Price is $28.90 for two persons, can have two main course.

 

I didnt read it too much, cos I was more interested to see how the shop that has live demo of how they make the sweets. I think the sweet shop name is 'Sticky'.

 

Who might want to try the steak at basement of Central Mall?

 

That's Fine Cuts. They sell very good meats and cook up some very good steaks too. If you buy the sets instead, then take your chances. I found that I had far better experiences buying the steak from the counter and asking them to cook, instead of going for the sets.

i tried carnivore with a group of friends a few mths back. in typical singaporean fashion, i starved my ass off for the entire day and made sure the buffet was worth my money. let's just say that i ate so much beef/ pork/ chicken/ sausages that my jaws were aching after 1hr.

 

the side dishes (freeflow too) were so-so. some pasta, salad, potatoes in cheese to fill us up so the meatman (server walking around with the cuts) need not stopover at our table so often when we're stuffing our faces with non meat items ala refugee style.

 

drinks were not free except for iced water. overall, i hated the experience, there was no variety. it was either roast beef that tasted as hard as my leather loafers/ roast pork that was so full of fat that tasted nice at first but started to make me feel like a garbage truck's gear compartment oil sump after 20 mins/ some yellow colored chunks of white fish that was uninteresting/ lamb that tasted like (refer to roast beef)/ sausages of all lengths and shapes that all tasted the same but some with diff textures.

 

 

after 1hr+, we came out and i headed straight to the bathroom to poop. i felt like i had eaten an elephant and i was so queasy that i wanted to lie down. me mates got a rack of yakult but acidowhateverfilus couldn't save us that day.

 

no way i'm going back. it's too pricey and for that amount of money i pay, id rather spend it on a buffet with mixed cuisine.

After I have been reading about crocodile meat. I suddenly have a craving for a crocodile steak.

 

And I have been eating non stop this past month. And I had taken iron tablets every day. So I dont understand why I am eating non stop, especially those fatty meaty stuff. From Pizzas to KFC......non stop!

 

A doctor explained that when someone have cravings, it means the body is lacking in certain minerals or vitamins.

 

So I do not understand why I am eating and putting on so much weight at the moment.
