Which bike will you choose? This are the bikes I shortlisted when I upgrade to Class 2. Personally I like Honda CBR1100XX. It got a feeling of Semi touring and semi sportsbike... :cheeky:

well ... its purposely built as a sports tourer ... so there you have it ...

a sports bike with complete fairing and all ... with enuff usable power

and a seat posture comfortable enuff for daily and touring up north ...

the above info is what i learnt from the reviews of Motorcycle Daily ..

other than that the insurance shud be cheaper for a 600cc ...

I tour with my R1, I go PG with my R1, I go werk with my R1.

R1 is light weight, inline engine( save petrol even u speed). easy to squeeze when u in kl jam. and ... i dunno y my gf told me she's more comfortable pillioning me on R1 than on my K2. maybe pillion's seating position.

i used to ride GSXR400 to Malacca ... quite tiring ....

I used to ride GSXR1000K2 to KL, GF complain back pain .

I used to ride Varadero1000, cannot speed max 200km/h, petrol suck many2. then in KL jam....wah piang eh! cannot squeeze then heavy cannot push.... got side box, cannot squeeze .... as good as dead in the jam

Now i ride R1, my gf seem to join me in corners, and participate in any occassions like bend forward when i speed up ..

Sometimes a bike which is being put out there in the market is for a particular market. If u r adventurous try to mix it out.

I have a feeling u want a bike that does all what the rest of the bikes listed could do, rite. But the truth is theres none. Theres always pros and cons; haya great speed, comfortable but heavy bulky at low speed. R1 lightweight great engine but more of a track machine....... catch my drift.

But if u really want a touring bike that is damn good, i recommend 04' BMW GS 1200. A sportbike engine in a off-road tourer chasis :thumb:

Juz my point of view.

2002 - 2005: Wave 2004 - 2006: Fazer1000 (Stolen on 1/4/2006)

2007 - 2008: X-1 2006 - 2009: HayaBusa Gen1

2009 - 2011: Gilera 2010 - 2013: Hayabusa Gen 2

2012 - 2013: FZ16

2010 - 2013: Ducati S-Fighter

2013 - Present: BMW F800GS

get a vfr800, very swee sports touring bike..

:thumb:

VFR 800 will suit your criteria. a tourer that handles like a sportsbike. not too bulky. better posture than haya or CBRX. hmm... cheaper insurance than the later. not too huge for singapore rd too

there are 600cc that is built for touring, but then again, even tho you can keep up with the bigger cc, 600cc engine will be a bit stressed.

depends on wat suits you exactly. i find that R1 is too light for high speed up north. If high speed on NSW .... without considering comfort, go for haya or blackbird ermm... or ZX12.

i just love honda engine. even tho i'm on a gixxer now

i chose honda for reliabilty! and for touring purposes i tink blackbird has the best FC for long distances and the riding position is more comfortable..i dunno but if i had to rife a R1 to thailand...i would break my back! hahaha!

no offense to R1 man.. its a beaut!
