Hey fellows, I bought a '07 600RR 2 months ago. Let me dispel the myths for you. It IS that good. Excellent track bike, excellent road bike. With its healthy dose of midrange torque, its so much easier on the limit than say a R6, whihc makes it power from 11-12000 rpm. The Honda has enough go from above 8000 so its much easier to ride on the road.

 

As for running it, there are a lot of different theories to it but i like to stick to the one which i have been practising for years. Ride it below 7-8000 rpm for the first 1000km. Avoid long constant highway speeds in one gear. Avoid full throttle accelerations. Its gonna be hard not wanting to unleash its full potential but self-discipline is a must!

 

As for engine oil, put in only fully-synthetic oils during the 2nd oil change, which to my knowledge is 6000km.

 

Anyway, if you get the bike, everything i said will be in the manual.

We intro ourself and also talk bout his bike, where all are stock and yet he can pace with me, on one of the lap I make a mistake and he manage to pass me btw I'm ride cbr1000/04. Just imaging what the bike can do and if you're a good rider on track, it make you proud if/when you can pace/spare or best to over-take big bike at pg track........:thumb:

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

NTUC...but I will find a insurance company which is cheaper after this expires...the salesman told me after I turned 26 the Insurance premium will be reduced to $1400 before 10% NDC...

How I wish to join you (tommorow?), but last wed just had a good time with the MSR forumer rider and need to control budget, reserved for the next trackday on the 26/08/07(600cc onward 5 lap race) as told by our pg staff mr said. Let me see, if I'm free I'll go but not track ride, no promise.

Have u even wondered how they tested bike before sending out of the factory?

Do they do it without testing and assume everything is ok?

or rev it to red line and make sure power within spec before sending out of the factory??
