yes...i heard about the crash from my fren. and it was bcoz of another rider playing endore right after finishing line...right? meaning he suddenly jam brake at that grand stand straight, and the ducati behind crashed on him. It is tragic and unnecessary. Keeps me thinking, going for a track day sumtimes can have high risk. U hav lotsa riders in the track...very slow, slow, average, fast, very fast....even playful riders. Hmmmm......i wd prefer to go for normal days where there's fewer riders on track. Nvm if hav to spend a bit more. Fabian nvr go for track days coz he said its too dangerous...quite true u know.

 

Anyway Mr Crumbs...i heard u won 1st plc...congrats!!!! U hav proven the new cbr600rr7 is a good bike on track..even on stock. How i wished i cd be as good as u.

 

 

U have to have certain track ethics when you ride. That way, you greatly reduce the amout of risk you face. Sadly, there will be some people do not find out enough b4 heading down. That´s where trouble happens.

 

Anyway, I did not get 1st place la, haha. merely a humble 3rd. Though everything that day was overshadowed by what happened to marcus. It doesn´t matter what position anyone finished.

yup..riders shd have a bit of knowledge of how issit gonna be on the track. discipline is a must.

And yah...my fuel consumption doesnt look so good. Wonder if its just riding style or the race BMC is really sucking my petrol....hmmmmm

My stock YTZ10S (8.6Ah) from '05 RR is getting worse during hot starting. Someone has given me a new Yuasa YTX7A-BS which is fit to the battery compartment but the capacity is only 6Ah. Does anyone know what the negative impact is to the bike especially ECU or some other electrical component? It is about 30% lesser than factory recommendation. Has anyone tried this out before? Thanks in advance for sharing.

Ok..what i remember, i hit 290KM during my first running in. and dat wil be like 80-90Km/hr most of the time, RPM not exceeding 5,000. I didnt notice if i hit 290km again during my 2nd and 3rd running in. but i know i hit 290 more den once. and when i'm doing my running in, most of the riding is constant on sg expresway and using sg petrol.

 

i didnt check for my mileage after my running in as i transfer my oil to my wave. so didnt get the chance to really see my full tank mileage.

 

Now using BMC race filter, i hit only 266km bfore reserve. Average speed 100km/hr, rpm seldom drag above 6,000. but riding not as constant as when in runing in. lotsa riding on minor road..so lots of accel, decel..pick ups, drop gear play korner scrap knee scrap helmet....see gerls...blow blow....hahaha

so, i'm not so sure if its the riding style or the filter....or both....coz it took away 20KM off the mileage. My breakdowns..jus for u guys....haha :-

 

FUEL BAR

1st bar - 82.5km

2nd bar - 126.5km

3rd bar - 168.5km

4th bar - 198km

5th bar - 220km

6th bar - 239km

7th bar - 266km

Reserve till last drop - 346km

 

one thing i dun like the bars....the mileage not standard for every bars. it get less n less. not like the older models where 1 bar can go, say around 40KM, also means the other bars can go the same milage each. so its hard to judge when u hav use half tank...or quarter tank..etc

my reserve can go 80km....hehe....so if reserve oredi from east side, no need top up petrol to 2nd link....haha...niceee

from my understanding...i dun think there is any problem with the electrical operation factor regarding the ECU side.

 

more like the hold strengh of the battery & cold crank start power nia.

Hey bro.... Like that jialat sia....

 

When i was running in ah, i was doing about 90-100km/hr around there... I oni manage to get highest bout 275km...

 

But than, my breakdown regardin the fuel bar, its almost 100% like urs... But i nv blow blow, kup corner or anythin... N my air filter is the original 1.... Haven change air filter yet... Jialat sia...

 

But i usually ride up to 120km/hr on expressways... =P

Today i saw a CBR1000RR '07 model on the road... Its black in colour... I saw the exhuast all crome... Than when we stop at traffic light junction, i ask the rider, wat exhuast he using, he say its the original exhuast...

 

Ur exhuast aso crome meh?? The crome exhuast very nice and shining ah... But to maintain would be a very tiring thing to do...

yes, 07 CBR1K is chrome and abit round round......cleaning wise, i'm not sure cos so far i only seen davin got the 07 model......
