Hello.............bro, Welcome to cbr600 crib dude.

related to your Q, my suggestion, dont do anything yet until you understand

your machine very2 well.

try to ride with standard spocket 1st. (I'm on stock spocket for now)

for the suspension, dont do anything yet except for the rear preload (just make it a bit harder like 2 clik to hard) leave it to standard.

same goes to the triple clamp, dont do anything. (base on other website they susgest to lower the T.C by min 5 / max 10mm.)

Once you understand/fimiliar bout the bike then you can do some adjustment/setting to your need....:thumb:

To protect from scratches, use raceshield.

Maintaining tankbra is a bit troublesome. Need remove & clean periodically. Rainwater stuck in between tank & tankbra will gradually corrode the tank paint. Even though the rainwater gets evaporated, the acidifying particles will still get stuck. The longer you leave it the more concentrated it’ll get. Tankbra is very useful with tank bags if you go touring though.

If its really only ur jeans which are causing the scratches, which i think the protion just in front ur *ahem ahem* of the tank is scratched rite? Cause by the buttons of ur jeans??

Well, for me, i use those tank pad, which is sufficient enuff to protect scratches from my jean's button.... If u can't get what i mean, let me noe, i can take a photo of it and show u....

i think if u wanna cover up the scratches on tank due to ur jeans...i think clever wolf tank pad is sufficient to cover the area.. but it comes only in carbon fiber ... it cost around $140 @ motoworld.
