i wd suggest to get a cut version frame sliders..as i've said bfore. Bcoz if yr brackets are not solid enough, touchwood if u crashed hard on the sliders, the bracket might bend or cracked. No big deal right? Just change bracket lor. BUT....take note when u fix those brackets, u'll notice that they are very close to yr engine casing or watever u call it. So if yr brcket bend it might jus hit yr eng casing and in turn cracked/damage yr eng casing. BIG JIALAT LIAU!!!!!!!!!

 

I regretted fixing a non-cut version sliders on my bike, after my thoughts about the above. but do oredi mah...bopian....mine is an evotech frame sliders....very ex...$230. But evotech is a well-known good brand from italy, so big chance they shd hav tested the strength of these brackets, to endure big hard impact. Well......the brackets for evotech sliders do look very SOLID!

Hope it is as SOLID as it looks. But i'm not sure about other brands like motovation. So yr choice guys.

 

But y wd u want to put sliders? More on to protect yr ferrings? or more on to protect yr eng/clutch casing? The casings are much more crucial rather den yr ferrings. FYI...our model do have eng casing guards....its a very solid piece of metal which is screwed to yr eng/clutch casing, and it will cover half or at least 1/4 of yr eng/clutch casing. When u crashed.......even wit no sliders, u will not hit on yr casing......but on the casing guards. I am not sure where to get this, but one of our cbr6 rider told me about dis, his nick is chottoh. and i think he has oredi fix it on his bike, coz i saw 1 cbr6 at HKL with these.

yeah man...dat eng guard is very useful. Carbon fibre cover like mine is jus for nice outlook with minimum protection(cipalak condoms). Probably can endure damage when u skidded...but how many times...i dunno. But if very hard impact, carbon fibre cover wont be able to take that impact, probably it can crack, or it doesnt crack, but actually yr eng casing is crack and u cant see it due to yr carbon fibre covering over it. So be careful if using carbon fibre covers like mine(which i regretted buying). If u crashed, make sure u checked yr eng casing nvr crack. The solid eng guards will surely protect more(DUREX)

the lastest model 2009 very nice and beautiful especially the black/green one.

it.....after i saw it on the net.

since u not track riding, the 2009 cum/w ABS is practically good for road use..

and the blue/white not bad too.....

bout the pricing on 2009 model with ABS will be slight higher then 2008 w/out ABS.......

i guess u're talking about Shogun's frame sliders? as an ex Shogun user (shop gave it free), i strongly urge u to keep away from Shogun's its made of weaker material & smaller in size, compared to Motovation & Xtreme...

 

had a minor fall when bike is almost stationary, sliders split into 2, imagine a fall at the track

[Hmmm... $90? My guess is those are sliders wifout the brackets. Which means u have to cut a small part of ur fairings before u can install it. Those which comes wif brackets, u would not need to cut any part of ur fairings and would cost aroung $170-$190...

My guess would be around 17.5k for machine and 20k if u choose the one which comes wif ABS...

 

Actually can check on the net.... Just convert the price... More or less the same...

Haha. Usually i will wash bike wif my friends or my bro.... So after washing, we will help each other carry our bike and tilt to the left side, and the other 1would den rotate the rear wheel and spray chain lub at the same time...

 

But if i alone, den i will spray on a certain part, carry my bike, rotate the rear wheel and spray again. N tis will go on until i complete lubing my chain. Very tiring. Bo pian, no money buy the stand.

Im also in search of a nice fender eliminator. But the nice ones are, as usual, quite expensive also. Theres a nice Rizoma FE, very bright brake lights, but its $300+ at Motoworld! I also noticed there was one CBRian selling it 2nd-hand but forgot his nick.

 

You should go check out http://www.600rr.net and head to the Forums --> 07-08 Modifications. Theres plenty of ideas on how to make ur ride faster and prettier, though some of it are not that legal.
