hi, jimmy here just bought a gtr concours 2013

Can anyone here advise me regards to the tyre pressure readings for the concours?

I set 42psi in petrol kiosk but shown only 37-38psi on our bike reading.

Which will be the accurate one? kiosk or our bike?

Jimmy.. Koisk.. But if u really kaisu, buy another 3rd party one and check.. The bike reading will be about 1-2 psi off (for my previous bike) and its better after riding awhile (about 5mins) after pumping..

I would invest in a manual pressure gauge, what I found those pump in the petrol kiosk to be 2-3 psi out. I would recommend you pump to front 42 and rear 42 psi as per manual especially for touring with pillion.

i always use 40 (front) and 42 (rear) for touring with pillion and while riding in SG...

rode up to Hatyai twice in a month in 2012 with 40 and 42.. after reaching SG, rear tyre is no longer concave.. more like rectangular... if u know what i mean..

- if you use the pump at the petrol kiosk , am assuming that you also use the 90 degree elbow (ie , if not, you can't get to the valve stem).

- after filling, unscrewing the elbow will cause about 3 to 4 psi of air to leak out. So , even if you diligently put in 42 psi into your tyres (as per the kiosk's gauge) , when the elbow is removed , you will lose air.

- solution is to pump in about 45 to 46 psi , and then bleed from there.

.

- recommended pressure is 42 psi. No difference whether its one up or two up.

cheers

.

I want to check with those riding 2012 or 2013 ZZR1400, is there a need to drill hole for frame slider? Does Motovation made slider for this model? Tks in advance.
