The other day I saw a Ah Pek riding a phantom wearing a white cloth type gloves (those $1 gloves used in driving centres), don't know why he wears such useless glove.

He was wearing slippers and shorts too

Not bad la. At the palms got thick paddings. Means if i fall down still offer me protection than not wearing gloves at all.

Very good, please continue using gloves whenever you ride, although a full gloves is much better but at least you got a pair of leather gloves.

Please don't use those $1 cloth type gloves, they really are useless in a fall.

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Correct, got gloves is better than no gloves.

I'll still suggest to u to get a pair of full gloves, cheap one won't cost u more than $20. If u can afford more, then get the best u think is value for money and offer maximum protection.

I understand how u feel, I used to ride my 10 yr old ah-pek bike with gloves + jacket + boots and ppl also laff at me. But those were the days where ppl are not use to seeing riders wearing more protective gear than the helmet.

Nowadays ppl are getting more used to seeing riders with jacket n gloves n boots.

But still, there are ppl who dun understand, and they usually are ignorant non-riders. So be it. In the event of an accident, they are not the one crying in pain, we are.

Just take it easy and do the right thing, search your feelings...

does anybody noe where i can get fieldsheer brand gloves?

Philosophy A: Ignore what everyone else thinks. Riding is a better way to get around. Ride paranoid and keep your skills sharp

Philosophy B: Ride with somebody who's better than you. You will pick up a handy trick or new skill just about every time you are out

Philosophy C: You don't need a big bike to prove ur passion for riding

Try Malaysia, they are very reasonably priced there.

Motoworld sometimes has great deals on non-branded long leather gloves that have Keprotec and metal mesh knuckles and finger joint protection. I bought a pair for $35 last year and used it for track. It feels safe enough, and is definitely good for touring because of the ventilation.
