he got 3honda cubs. 1 of them au plate i think that one he sell expensive.

the other two he ask to give a quotation. u drop by there onli if u really interested

but i think im becoming an official road hogger. hahha

By the way for those of you looking to buy these cubs, the shop along lavendar st with the big ERP service sign right by the roadside is selling like 3 of them or something. 2 C70s and 1 C90. And i think the uncle recently acquired yet another not-too-bad-condition-(from a glance)-blue cub.

 

Also, while cruising ard the industrial estate at Payar Lebar yesterday, I saw a new-looking light blue cub (not sure C70 or 90 or EX5; sorry Im still fking new to this thing) for sale or something. The seat as still wrapped up in plastic and the parts all look new. Worth a look though Im sure it wont be too cheap. It's in one of the very few bike shops there.

 

By the way, anyone knows where you can get a 2nd hand IU other than the Lavendar's and Payar Lebar's? Especially those 6V ones.

 

And are there any lady honda cubs out here?

can always install the new type of IU on a 6v bike, works fine, takes in cashcard and ezlink card.

really? i was told even if i get a new one from LTA they're gonna give me those big size ones with the extra thing on the side so i might as well get 2nd hand haha.

im amazed the govt hasnt come up with an internal IU like a microchip etc for the new bikes yet.. and then so everyone can charge more for installation/fixing/prevent illegal modifications etc like typical singapore. but at least they can maybe start taking down the fugly ERP gantries or source stolen bikes easier

 

the shop i really cant rmb where exactly cause i was going lane by lane in the industrial estate. its in the area nearer to the main road i think. but anyway there are not too many bike shops opened after 6pm (i only saw 3) so im sure you will spot it easily if u ride around patiently.. sorry im no help!!!

My battery seems to be dying. The signal lights doesn't blink anymore and they are dimmed. I have difficulty starting as well. Can anyone tell me if the battery goes flat. Will I still be able to kickstart it?

still can kick start but just no lights and all.

if difficult to start but still can start i think sprak plug or carb ah.

if cannot start at all maybe magnetic coil

i go jb onli do regular service and makan there.

buy stuff for parts no ah. singapore got a few shops doing cubs also, one at upper changi road and the other one at amk industrial one. forgot shop name. but pricy ah

Thanks, went to Hee motor during lunch time to get it changed and now things are fine again. The old battery looks new but can't be charged anymore.

perhaps i would suggest u not gettin a "dry" battery for the c70. easier to observe with battery water level. tts wat i was told....

The bike is a 1988 (21 years old) 90cc cub. I swapped it like 6 months ago from a Defu Lane bike shop with my 12 year old Super4.

 

Then on a lark, I rode it to Phuket! I did absolutely nothing to it, not even the basic oil change and sure enough, the piston died on me in Ipoh. So after an overnight overhaul(RM889), I carried on the journey and made it. I'll be back in Dec09 to Phuket to ride it all the way to Laos.

 

Here are 2 pics to prove it! First one is the from Promthep Cape. Second one is at Sarasin Bridge into Phuket.

 

Next time tell that someone who say cubs are only good for delivering newspapers to shove it up their A#@ !!!
