i found the alternative, which for EX5/EX5 Dream/EX5 Class 1 based engine conversion.

from Syscast, cost around RM130-150 per kits

:)

Bro... Actually I stalk you for long time, Lol. I know u are moderator in one of the msia bike forum right?

My advise to you is if you wanna spend gd cash on ya bike to make it race-like, dont spend ya money on this current engine. The technology available in jb is limited. I recommend you get a LIFAN 140cc or YX150/160 engine which is made is china. It is using honda castings but already have big bore and all the mods comes from stock.

The YX is even more impressive as it uses a KSR/KLX 110 head which is same as modenas kriss. If you are in to modding you should know that KRISS/KSR piston can bore much bigger than honda. So this engine uses honda cases bottom and mate with KSR block and head.

Currently all the pitbikes racers in the world uses these couple of engines. The only costlier alternative is going for Japan Tech like KITACO and TAKEGAWA which costs upwards of $2000 for kits and $10000++ for full engines.

These chinese engines cost abt $1k. Some worried abt quailty and its true that its not perfect, like clutch basket freeplay. However its is cheaper to have to minor faults corrected in the full-prep engine than to build one up on your own.

I have modded my cub extensively last time and its cost much more than just buying the complete engine.

These are some link to examples im talking abt. They last pretty well out of the box but there are further upgrade kits like 4 valves kit, further modding is available but how lasting the engine will be i dont know already.

I see that the thread is getting more interesting recently. More posts!

The C70 community are getting smaller and if we dun share our lobangs, it would be frustrating.

I hope that we can share our ideas, interest and maybe our used parts in this thread.

Let's make it the most interesting thread for C70 riders to view!

mostly "recon-ed"

can call up boon siew for new engine.

:)

You can get a lifan engine in stock form too. 125cc kickstart, 110cc w/ starter. Auto or manual 4 speed N-1-2-3-4.

Edit: Or you can get a stock, brand new or re-cond honda wave/nice 110 engine from thailand. This engine comes alot more beefier stock. Its got better oil pump capacity, wider pitch gearbox and basically stronger.

Else get the new engine if gd price. Re-con no guarantee, i had bad experience.

You are welcome. whichever route you take, we'll be excited to see the final product. So please dont forget to update with pictures here!

Btw i remembered the front brakes on my cub were amazingly sh/t. How are you planning to overcome that? I changed my front fork to wave after it became increasingly dangerous to ride with the power increased two-fold.

not really to do that

depends on my mood.:cheeky:

good luck if u had converted to conventional front forks,

there are below reason i dont want convert to conventional front forks.

-Welding job involved, not really trusted the "aftermarket" welding jobs.

-the Caster & Trail had changed, handling affected :dot:

-costly and bring more wear and tear parts (fork seal, fork oil ect)

:)

The first time i had it welded it wasn't very strong. Den when i asked re-do it thoroughly it was very strong. But if i were to get another cub, i will use long forks with triple tree clamps like honda sonic or suzuki raider instead. Much better and easier.
