oversize disc is more of a cosmetic rather performance unless u get a real good wan, i have used pop domino, racing boy yes the braking effect is good for high speed braking but for slow speed braking instead its not very effective...

Basically, i would advise you to change a really ROUND discbrake.

Instead of those wave, spiral, flower kinds. Its really for cosmetic.

Well for the truth, Oversized discbrake comes with great braking

power only when u changed ur brake hose to Steel Braided ones.

Examples of those are brands like Goodridge, Hel, GPR etc.

However, the chances the oversized discbrakes warping is high.

So i would still suggest to stick with stock. There is always a reason

why Yamaha or rather those people who use Yamaha name to design

this bike to use such small discbrakes.

Regarding buying them, JB AGL is the best and cheapest place to do it up.

In sg, you will only get karrot head by those shops.

However, if u want a good discbrake with brackets, nuts, bolts, washers,

less than $120SGD should be able to. Just to remind ya, its the same price

in to do in SG or JB, just that SG=>$120SGD, JB=>$120RM.

(Please, if you guys can find cheaper ones, help this bro instead of posting

whether yours is cheaper or what crap. With much appreciation, Thanks.)

the reason is not because 'stock is good'... its more of like they have so many bike models... if they made all with big rotors, it'll cost more.

since this bike aint the FIRST model they have.. so they'll just use compatible disc from prev bikes they made...

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/royalemy/Image621.jpg

The holes have been drilled to fit ngam on a 125z wheel, shud be the same on the spark.

interested ?

i will include a racing boy bracket to hold the caliper too for spark 135, new bracket never been used.

There are many reason behind it, i believe.

Well the point of the thread is still "OVERSIZED DISCBRAKE"

Please change round ones.

Ya, mine still have the sidestand around cos I feel its sometimes very troublesome to park mainstand just to leave your bike awhile to buy something (just my opinion). I've requested Panjang to retained my sidestand. Quite a decent job they have done I would say.
