hi fellow PKs, i noticed pertrol smell lingering around my bike, upon further checks on the bike i found out that my carb is leaking petrol, seem to be seeping out between the 2 blocks(upper and lower block) of the carb. when i let my friend see, he say gasket or seal broken liao, ask me go service my carb. can i chk with you all roughly how much it is to service a carb? i hope it is below $40... on budget.

carb washing would be that price...maybe u can try giving " Dr krumps " a call???the seal should not cost more than 20 bucks...

one Orginal Phantom Headlight cost around how much ?? and How about those Bullet Headlight??

Vidak should be able to ans the bullet one, cuz he juz change it recently...expect both the headlights to be in the region of S$80...

HUAT HUAT HUAT AH!!!!!

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

Thanks for sharing; this is great information. I might just keep my TA150 after 10yrs:D

Just to check on the Rectifier; this is the CDI right? If yes, is it a recon or new? when i changed my 5yrs back, it was about $260.

As part of sharing, I changed metz tyres for $140 at Planet few mths ago. On Rear Brake disc, it cost $50 at Lab(brake pad not included).

the rectifier charges the battery. located at the front right side chrome casing. You installed the rear brake disc yourself? $140 is a good price. :thumb:

avoid Ahkoon at all cost. their prices are jacked up yet service is snail-slow. they should hire one more china/malaysian mechanic to help out.

btw, a shop outside MINDEF bukitpanjang charge me $24 for the bearings. I guess it's better to go planet if you are free to get it all rectified.

I changed my spocket and chain at planet a year ago, i love their quick service and reasonable prices. :)

Bullet Headlight still costs $35 as I just bought it from LAB

ha... my bullet headlight costed $38 since I put in very little effort to bargain that day... was quite tired already... and you know... you need quite some time and patience to wear down the fortitude of ah boy...

lol where got $80! but still... the reflector in the bullet headlight is crappy... and mounting points of the headlight is unusable (when it is fixed the normal way the beam aim upwards :sian:)... you get what you pay for...

TA150 is located at the backseat section. No, I didn't install. I was at Ah boy workshop for changing tyres. mech recommend change rear disc as worn out and quoted $50 without brake pad. As my current brake pad still useable, he recommend next time brake pad worn out, change together. Another bike was changing same thing and paid $50 for the rear disc too. Also changed ball bearing for front as worn out.....no wonder when I brake, sometimes must `pump' the brake level for effective braking.....it's the bearings worn out....so front a bit wobbly.
