So which one is better Shell 98 or Shell v power?

Which is smoother and gives you better mileage?

Prices have gone up!! It really gives me the heart aches whenever i top up! 2.190/liter for Synergy 8000 or any RON98 equivalent petrol. :( Think it's time to downgrade on my petrol.

i tested Shell vs Esso on my ex-Wave125 (3.7 litre tank). did a couple of rounds on each brand to increase reliability for comparison.

Shell gives 43 to 45 km per litre.

Esso gives 45 to 48 km per litre.

Esso 98 is the best...(for me)

Better milleage... Smooth Acceleration...

Sumtimes once in 2 weeks pump V power.. to have dat "cleaner engine" :cheeky:

But Ron 92/95 is best for 4 Strokes Cub...

2nd hand X1R (FBB) with Shell 98

FC is 51.9km/litre (Taken on 2 seperate occasions seperated by 1 month, from full tank to E line - abt 3.41litre, for a total of 177km each time)

Quite average usage:

90-110km/hr on expressway

70-90 on normal road

Pillion = 10km slower for all instances

Dunno road = slow and steady @ 50-60

The V-Power really upz? Must go try soon.

The magnet thingy really upz FC? Comments from users?

Btw guys, how to calculate milage? I forgotten already :cheeky:

1) Immediately after next refuelling to the max, take note of ur odometer (the distance meter), maybe save as draft msg in hp.

2) Travel as per normal until u have to refuel again, to the max.

3) Look at odometer again after u finished refuelling. Save into draft msg in hp.

4) Look at how much fuel u injected, to the max..

5) mileage = total distance/ total fuel used.

I just tried taking my FC and got 42km/litre...

engine condition will worsen with time ba... also not too sure if it's because of the change from 98 to 95 or due to wear and tear... but definitely the bike don't feel as smooth after 4 years of riding :cheeky:

then again... no major problem from my little baby wave... brought me and wife to so many places liao :thumb:
