Topic : 125z vs 125zR

Description : Nil

********************************************************************

My friend just passed his TP and is interested in a 125z. We were looking at this shop and there were two 125z's with the same plate series. One is the "normal" 125z while the other is the blue, Rossi version. The normal one is slightly cheaper. Are there really any major difference between those two cubs?

Posted

i guess internally theres no difference..... the only different i noe is dat stock 125z comes in spoke rims and stock 125zr comes with sport rims.... :thumb:

Yamaha 125z - 06022006 to 08082009

Suzuki GSR400 K7 - 08082009 to ....

the normal one is cheaper because its ugly. but if u intend to redo the paintwork, change to a different sport rims, then get the normal one ah. If u intend to not do anything to the bike, i would recommend just take the rossi version.

Living is the only thing worth dying for.

Topic : Gear changing system of cubs

Description : Nil

********************************************************************

Hi all i am interested in cubs, but i do not know what to buy. I noticed that waves tap down to shift to a higher gear, is that true for all waves, or in fact all cubs? I would prefer a clutch version, or a cub with the traditional gear change system (tap up to change to higher gear).

Also whats the difference between Wave R and Wave S?

And is the insurance significantly cheaper than the other 2B bikes like SP, Phantom, Krr

Thanks for your help, i am very confused :giddy:

Posted

wave-s's tachometer(mileage) and fuel guage r digital LCD, wave-r's r analog (needle).

insurance depend on age, for me riding wave-s is $30 lesser than my previous KRR150, mitsui.

ya..all is tapo down unless u change to racing footrest i think.. my age was 18 when i bought thebike and my insurance was 312.. mitsui..\

hope this helps

for kups

i would say the fuel consumption somewhat varies according to the CC of the engine

X1 - 110CC

Wave - 125CC

Spark T135 - 135CC

higher CC = more power = fuel consumption higher

price wise for 1st hand bike...i think Wave and X1 difference not much...

Maybe the latest Yamaha Spark135LC suits u. Let's put the scenario it can go till abt 140km/h? Then with your weight maybe it will be a little bit slower? Say ard 120 to 130km/h? Also can mah for transport? Fuel consumption still not very bad because it is a 4 stroke bike. Juz my opinion.

A second option will be the Suzuki Raider 150cc but dat model is not very popular in Singapore. Choose a bike which is easy to get spare parts brother. :goodluck:

X1 and Wave fuel consumption... i would say tat Wave saves more fuel than X1.. X1 eats petrol can say quite a lot.. i stay in cck, werking @ changi.. when i tried my X1 full tank from my house to werkplace, comeback home, when going to werk , come back home (2 trips) total 150km+ must top up fuel already liao.. full tank ard $6.20 after 5% discount @ mobil/esso synergy8000 (green)..

But when i tried my dad's wave, from my house, to werkplace , back to my house and back to werkplace, when coming back to my house (3 trips) total ard appox. 210km+ must top up fuel already.. cost only $4.30 full tank after 5% discount same petrol.. which bike u think saves fuel?

Money is not a problem. Problem is no money..

Now saving up money to get Yamaha R6 '08.. haha!!

but of couse.. in terms of looks of the popular 4 stroke cubs in s'pore, wave, x1, sparkz, spark 135, X1 still looks the nicests and sleekest of all... haha!!

If u think u scared petrol buay tahan then take Wave lor. Not too big cc yet not too small. Juz middle middle. What's more Wave is very well known for it's petrol economic consumption. By the way if u take Wave the price of the machine also have gone down due to the release of Yamaha Spark135LC which equates to more savings of your $$. Juz my opinion.

As for me? I am happy wif my Wave-S and not changing. Thank you.
