how much would it cost?

btw can it b fix on version S as i heard vtec, version S & pb 1 diff header..

 

the MC accessories guy, michael say he coming to spore next sat 2Feb. Can ask him yrself.

 

And mr. norman (eunos) say his sample may be arriving next week.

No MO. On 2feb next sat, those interested for header come down to see MC's salesman Michael at the eunos shop mr. norman.

 

First we discuss amongst ourselves what is the target price, then we hv 3 party negotiation between the shop & the importer. If we can reach the price, we close the deal individually with the shop. Each of us will pay deposit to shop. If cannot reach the target, we call off the deal. But as you know, Mr. norman is asking for S$700 for 1 pcs, which i think is too expensive. It is almost close to buying a 2nd hand full system. But if anyone decides to go for it after we fail the negotiation, it is up to individuals.

 

2 aims here:-

1. See the quality of the header.

2. Negotiate the best price.

 

My job on this header sourcing ends on this sat. I might start looking for a 2nd hand full system if negotiation fails.

Y if i want the full sysytem for my PB1... to get order from the titanium header from you..., now i am using a version S header with MICRON street legal endcan... r u trying to look down on me bro...! COME'ON... support all the Super4 man!!!

yesterday i went to Unity where most sporean bikers do their dynotest and ask these questions. For those who intend to buy header, then after few months later decide to buy 2nd hand endcan, the below info might be useful.

:-

 

1. Does full system results in power gain? yes, only at high rpm ,coz more flow can pass thru. And full system is 4-1, whereas stock is 4-2-1.

But low & mid rpm, there is power loss.

2. Full system power loss at low rpm? Does it means i hv to drop gear & rev harder to increase speed? yes, definitely.

3. If i install full system but not install dynojet (spray more fuel) , will it increase my fuel consumption? yes it will. But if you want 10-15hp increase, you need to install dynojet.

4. Does install dynojet reduce my powerloss at low rpm? No, there will still be power loss on low rpm even with dynojet.

5. Can lack of catalytic converter cause high CO during inspections? No problem to pass inspection, they can tune it more lean fuel/air ratio (to lower emission) during idling. But at high rpm, the emission is worse than stock condition. And during inspection , they dun rev the engine.

6. How bad is the worst emission? He points to a nearby S4 with Moriwaki full system. He told me its only installed last week. He rub his finger inside the exhaust & show me that its full of carbon soot.

7. Why is full system full of carbon soot? He say is because the higher flow will sucks more fuel into the carburettor.

9. Can installing KNN high air flow filter reduces carbon formation? he say yes, but will still hv carbon soot deposit.

10. Will this results in higher fuel consumption? He say yes, but cannot telll me how much.

11. If i change only endcan, any increase in hp? yes, but neglible, only sound nicer.

12. Do i need to retune the engine if i change the header only? yes you must, especially if u changing from 4-2-1 to 4-1.

13. If i install dynojet - to spray more fuel, will it increase more fuel consumption

14. How much is cost of dynojet? $350 but now no stock. Stock arrive in 1-2 months later.

Qns: where can i "knock" a header as in was involved in an accident and the headers were damaged the center 2 was bent.. is it possible to "reshape" or knock it back to normal state?

as long as its stainless steel, Seng kwang can cut & re-weld, then grind off the markings. I dunno Seng Kwang can do titanium header though.

The stock header which is carbon steel can rust easily, after cut & re-weld will rust even more.

Btw i propose that all interested parties meet up on sat and go to the shop together for price neg with with them and also to show them the demand for this header for s4...

today i went 3 places, WS bikes at blk 1043, eunos ave 3 #01-143, mr. nornan hp: 90362555. He said he bought the header only, it comes with a slip on adapter to allow bolt-on to the stock endcan. He say he already sold the sample to a S4 rider, who was using a yoshi endcan. So there is no sample for display at his workshop. But he say he'll bring a few more next week & will put one as a display set. And he is not importing a container of exhaust, but he simply drive up to KL to pay cash & carry. The price he is charging is S$700 for 1 piece, inclusive of installation. He say also the full system - he is not confident it will pass inspection.

 

Next i went to JB - Motormatic Enterprise, 33 jln Pendekar 2, skudai , taman ungku tun aminah. Spoke to mr. Man +60127171779. He say he is charging RM1300 for the front header. He do not keep stock at his workshop, and if order, will take 2 days to deliver.

After this i went to Autodynamic Super bike services center. it is located at 29, jln Emas Putih, Taman Sri Putri, Skudai, johor. Contact person is Mr. Alan Lim, +60197389282. He is charging RM1500 & he also dun keep stock in his workshop. If order, he'll go KL to collect & he will have it within 2 days.

As a comparison, a few days ago, the salesman Michael of MC Accessories quoted me RM1500 for the front header, for cash & carry. This is the price for ordering 1 piece only. Price dun include installations. Means we have to go KL to self collect & install yrself.

 

After comparing, it seems that if ordering 1 piece, the cheapest is Motormatic. In terms of convenience, WS bikes in Eunos is better.

 

I 'll call WS bikes next week to check his stock arrives. Then go to his workshop to see the quality of the header but dun place order. Anyone who is interested, can also call him & go to see for yourself.

 

We let this MO buildup to 20 bikers, then we 'll contact the above 3 workshop to ask for best price. I am confident we can slash the price alot, if got 20 bikers.
