all R6 dudes.got a quetion to ask..

my R6 bought already 1 and half year.then the brake pad haven finish yet.izzit normal or?

the stock brake pads not bad.. and can last quite long. if u juz use the bike for road think the pads can last pretty long... 1 1/2 hrs is pretty normal i guess...

Hi, I'm planning to hv a R6 in future, can any bro tell me how's the normal maintence cost? And Fc/ litter for the bike?

maintainence is normal, juz engine oil and oil filter, spark plugs all... fc/L maybe abt 14-17km per L... depends on the mods on ur bike..

Hi bros, i am quoted 2nd hand r6 '08 for 16k machine price bt after interest and insurance, its 358 x 60 excluding 3k deposit. Is it reasonable? (tires need to chng as well)

Dear fellow r6ers. I just got a second hand 2008 r6. Just wanna ask a few questions, i realise when the engine is below 60 degrees, no noticable noise. But when its pretty hot, i can hear a "tick-tick" sound. Wht seems to be going wrong on my bike? Care to advice? And yeah, i used to ride my cousin's k8 750. And i notice tt on my r6 there is no steering damper. Am i being cheated? Cos over on a suzuki it has a stock steering damper.

Thanks in advance all. I am such a noob. If i am being cheated then its my lesson to learn. So help me to get this bike running smoothly. Thanks!

Rgds,

whats the price u got it for? juz curious the resale price. thx.

steering damper is an aftermarket product. it doesnt come with the bike, so no worries, you're not cheated.

this "tick tick" sound you mention is supposed to be normal is suppose? cos i have that too for my 09, but mine's only when you start the bike till you start riding you'll hear that. i asked the bike shop before, there's a name for it. but they told me no need to change anything since it's a new bike. (though i thought they should do something bout it)

that sweet sound.

how many piece of fairing do i need to remove to change the front signal light?

hmm.. i didn't remove mine totally when i change to flush mount.. but i guess only the side fairing needs to taken out... find the screw that hold the side fairing, and slide it off... its easy...

its normal bro.. its a HOT bike, im terms of temperature and looks.. haha.. but its normal for the temperature to reach more than 100 easily.. just make sure the fun is on when temperature is at 101 deg..
