I was talking about the FZ1 lar... FZ6 of course gets better fuel economy. Maybe 16 to 17 in town.

I've owned an 2002 FZS600 before. That's what I got in town. On the highway, you may get 20 to 22 on cruise.

Tank bra for Fazer is $155, you need to order from Mototworld.

Tank bag is seperate and you need to budget another $150 depending upon what bag you select.

I used to use a magnetic tank bag, but then that can leave small scratches on your paintwork if you not keep under the magnets clean.

For my Fazer I got a Motech Rack.

How effective is your magnetic tank bag against the rain? Highly waterproof?

You riding a N model of the FZ6? How effective is it against the strong wind blast?

The magnetic tankbag (Oxford Brand) came with a rain cover, that you need to use for a heavy downpour. On an SBF ride to Sungai Rengit, on the way back, it rained and rained, and my things never got wet. And for light rain, I never bothered with the rain cover.

As for the question about wind blast. I rode my fazer with Fairing between 160-200 kph along highway 95 (Munich to Garmisch) on a windy day (gusts of 40 kph), and it held solid. Hen hen no need to worry about speeding there. Then on another very windy day (gusts of 100 kph), I had to abandon the journey, because it was difficult to keep the bike in a strait line and in the lane.

A magnetic tankbag is secure. Not to worry. Because your head cowl will protect it against the windblast. Even if you don't have a head cowl, the headlight and meter cluster will also deflect most of the wind aside from the tank area.

I'm using a Givi Voyager for all purposes, and even up to 260 indicated, it doesn't budge.

So don't worry too much about that tankbag detaching on the NSH and plowing into your midsection.

You could inquire at Biketech21 on Dunlop Street, that is where I got my Motech Rack from. I believe they also have the rack for mounting paniers. For FZ6.
