regarding the piston ring... i dunno how to check for sure as i cant see... but i start a few R6 there.. ther is my and another is blue which other book... and seem like the sound is same ler.. so i assume is ok lor.. i hope... anyway i already taking it... until then i will stil get small bike for work.. as wat u all say is not pratical to use for normal road.. actually i buy the bike is for highway travelling as i wan to go melaka.. kl.. and my home town... near penang sial... haiz.. if naked on highway alone... then i become naked sial... with all the wind...
wow if ur using it mainly for highway use, then good game liao. the posture on the r6 is very sporty... a lot of weight are on your wrists. your back's gonna hurt like crazy also. you need to rev the r6 higher to get up to speed also, cos the peak power is further up the revs, as compared to a street bike or bigger cc sportsbike. hence it's going to be very loud at speed! so how to travel continuously for one hour? back ache, wrist pain and must wear ear plugs..

unless you tell me you buy r6 for PG and occasionally Sepang then i say its the best choice..

no problem one lah, got 1 with R1 tour the whole Borneo Island, from Kuching, Sarawak all the way to KK, Sabah.. the road there worse than NSH, and I think he pillion his girl friend somemore.. Thumb up for him.. :)

R6 from JB to KL, why not? may be Dzal means too much touring like that, not good for body.. haha.. later back pain.. no urge to do what man suppose to do.. lolx..

even KL chupkia also can go Mynmar!!!

LOLx....yeah really back pain, during that time, i was totally lying on the floor once we reach seremban shell station...accidentally took a nap there...but with the gsr seating posture...no problem.. i reach KL from MY custom in 2hrs inclusive of pumping of petrol n rest and smoke at ayer keroh...

first things first, get sliders immediately when you get your bike. slow and steady with u-turns. it handles like a class2 bike honestly, not like super4. it handles really well on the roads and on the track..

Hi there, welcome. :)

Tank bra u can get it from motoworld. Price depends on ur bargaining skills. I bought mine for 150 2 years ago. Sliders, i got the motovation ones, full set at 200.. Also 2 years plus ago.

rien d'autre que le max.

A good place is one that you trust. I do mine at MW. Coz I trust the mech there. Its an individual thing. Some may have bad experience with some places where else others have none. So in the end its your choice. Find one that you trust. Usually its the Mechanics and not the Shop.

I know tank bra can get at MW or HKL (which gets them from MW) hahahha.

OK OK later I try ask them. Ask them to make invisible panniers....So the logic is if invisible, should be frictionless and thus more aerodynamic hahahha.

if this is ur first 2A bike, then my advise is to go relax/ease on the throttle. Slow pull the throttle cuz underneath is a power hungry beast, don't let the soft sound exhaust fool ya. if the previous owner did take care her, the bike is still like original then i will tell ya that the bike is responsive so don't throw ur clutch.... relax first. Oh yeah, becareful with the weigh of the bike, some ppl do drop their bike cuz they miscalculate the bike weigh... got friend to escorts lagi best...

Add: Forget to mention that the rear brake is soft (didn't bite strong), so test ur brake front & rear so u won't get caught by surprise.

Do u know that some of us riding an SP now is like riding a bicycle. Its a freaking light bike. Of course the gisser would have a somewhat heavier feel to it as this will help u on the handling and stability issues. Too loose and u might end up tank slapping everytime. U will notice that u will "grow" onto your bike bah. For a few days u will notice that your neck/head might jerk when u open throttle too fast but will learn to adapt to it. Its a normal thing. So like the others advised, take it slow first. Learn to tame the beast else the beast take over u.... :thumb:

That is individual preference. With clothings, you will have more responsibility.

Think about it, what happen to the clothes that you wear at the end of the day? heheheh
