rae - yea very special haha rode to ah joo's today to get my sidebox resprayed and my scoot checked and serviced. on the way there, i realised i was grappling with my changing of gears all over again. sigh this is what happens when you are a newbie yet ride like once a month. :sian: anyway, at least i didn't do wheelies on the way to ah joo's  was particularly careful with clutching in and working on gentle acceleration, didn't want to fly off my bike like i did that one time :cheeky:

like a seal exploding and taking the crank bearing with it, ruining the eninge and the cylinder... so, quite horrific.....

blown seals are a hassle. i swear!! happened to me twice. it blown once and got it replaced and got blown 3 days later. juz sheer luck. Motor able to start but unable to go more than 20km/h. if its blown on the clutch side. prepare for mosquito fogging. super alot man the smoke. Replace it with the blue rubber type. more reliable than the aluminum type.

gweester - i have confirmed with ah joo that my bike is running on the 6V contact point instead of the 12V CDI you were telling me about. however, it's kinda pricey at $300+ to change from the 6V to CDI. ah joo was telling me my bike is fine and there's no need to spend that kind of money. the reason why i need so many kicks to get my bike started is because i kickstart it like every 1, 2 weeks and because the weather has been rainy and cold of late. oh well, anyway i left my bike at ah joo's for him to check throughly.

waddup guys...

just came back from riding ard...

the damndest thing happened to me while i was at the gas station!!!!

I was about to top up petrol, so i turned off the engine n took out the keys and held them in my mouth by biting on one of them..(gross, i know)

then i looked at the hole located infront of my gas tank and thought, "man, it would be so unlucky if my keys fell into that hole"

guess what happened next???

my keys fell into the freekin hole!!!!

sway sia!

my friend was there, tried to help also no use...

lucky got malay uncle who was there..he also riding px200....

red in colour...

helped me remove the gas tank n took out my keys....

said the fuel hose is stiff already..need to change...

true???

and i removed the corrugated hose that is linked to the carb...

any i'll effects on the carb?

fluff > how much is servicing at AJ n what does he do???

if u mean the black rubber hose that link to ya carb casing. then its fine. that is nuthing important. i think most of us dont use that. its just to channel the air into the carb.... lots of people got suay today... hehe esp Maz;s scoot. my laptop got chipped off after falling to the ground. sigh.

btw its seems like every constituency got its own scooter representative.. hah. noone lives in the same neighbourhood. :) maybe should break up into zone then ( N-S-E-W) haha. gonna sleep now . tomorrow early lecture. sigh again.

Come original, u gotta come original...

how come u start like once or twice a month? u have alternative transport?

reddy > what happened to maz's scoot?

anyone knows where Hendra is?

it's a scoot shop.

decided that i'll probably go to AJ this evening...maybe go TA during lunch if my friend comes along...

and yeah, fluff does have an alternative form of transport

Yeah... put the carb hose back on... (not that leaving it off does any harm...) jus that with it on the carb gets cooler air than it would if it just sucks in from around the engine area...

Fuelhose... yep change it... When I first got my scoot, I had the bugger split on my in the middle of orchard road outside John Little.... 8 litres of petrol poured out behind me and I conked out at the traffic lights.... An experience best avoided by changing the fuel line... Go for a piaggio original line (becuase getting the right length is important for fuel flow...)

Maz... Funny, I've heard that the metal seals are better (T.A doesn't stock the metal one's I've heard are good though... these are metal with a brown/black rubber middle.... TA's have a blue middle...) The metal seals are supposed to be loctited into place... perhaps this is why people don't like them here... Hmmmmmmm....... Thoughts?

On the exhaust front... Have emailed SIP about getting me a copy of the E-Pass so I can submit docs to LTA... don't want to buy a Scorpion and then have it not pass!

reddy - yep i drive around every day with my dad's or brother's car cos i am helping out with the family business at present. as i was sharing on the aj_scooters thread, my bike is not so much a form of transportation for me but more of a realisation of dreams  i'm hiding my bike from my parents so i park at the playground near my house. my dad found out when i first bought my bike and promised to smash up my bike if i ever dare bring it back. he thinks i have sold off my bike since then and i have let him continue to think so. my mum on the other hand has been in the dark throughout. tough luck

cephelix - i let you know the charges and all when i collect my bike ok haha or you can ask ah joo yourself when you drop by - tonight, you were saying?

well, let's hope i'll go down to TA during lunch.....

:giddy:

fluff > yeah,after work...AJ closes at ard 9 right?

i'll be there about 6 ish....
