Just finished reading the whole accident thread...

Angry at the silliness of the other guy...

Sad to know a life is lost and many hearts broken....

Happy and touch by the kind gestures and condolences from the helpful and supportive biking community

 

Meet him and his gf only once when we swapped our clutch covers on our dukes. Very helpful and patient guy as I am new to my duke and did not know how to dismantle it. Right on the pavement opposite Borders, out came all his tools and he went down on fours to dismantle it. Was also encouraging me to try tracking. I could really feel his passion for the sport.

 

 

To the closer friends of flowers, be strong and hang in there. I know it is difficult times for you guys. Even I was dumbfounded when I knew about this. Just 3 weeks ago, a colleague of mine pass away also in an accident. Life goes on and there is not much we can do about it except to keep him in remembrance.

 

Until we meet him again, let's not only ride safe but promote safety to all the road users we know.....

i got the news on 24th Dec from a friend saying that a 999 rider has passed away from an accident in PG. Little did i know that it was the Flowers/Marcus which i met once during a sbf ride to malacca.. he was on his R6 then. All my condolences to him and family, loved ones. Rest in peace.

didnt realise it was him when it was him on the news the

other day onli after reading here then i realised it was him.

yes i was on the same cherating trip with u guys in jan 04 riding

a red vfr then. remember marcus being a veri nice n friendly guy who

likes to tok n joke with ppl. dexus remember he said our chalet with

zaini, me n eddy being a "crack" house with all that cigarette smoke around

also he was a caring person when on our way way back frm the trip, me n

him came across a dead dog on the road back frm cherating to mersing

he juz stopped n pulled the dead dog to 1 side so that other cars wont mutilate the dog further

also to prevent other bikers behind frm bangin into the dog.

Marcus we will treasure the trip n fun we had with u on those trips and the makan trips, u will be missed by family and frens but u will be also be remembered in our hearts....

 

 

Yup. Marcus' old nick was Marcus InTheSun. Until one day when I think he forgot his password for that account or something. And also he didn't use the computer much anyway after that.

 

That Cherating trip in Jan 04 was the first trip we went with him. Shortly after that, there was the Genting trip that basically forged the close friendship we had. From bike buddies, to everyday buddies.

 

He was a really cool guy. Always happy and looking at the bright side of life. There're few ppl in this world with his kinda sparkling personality.
