For your info I recommend you to look at this shop to see thousands of accessories and spare parts. Flat slide carb for only rm150, biggger piston complete with head for less than rm200, free flow exhaust pipes, alloy rims, many, many more.. Forget about the 24hr shops along susur jalan tun razak (AKUA LANE) .But i'm not sure if it opens at night.

those using sport rim wheels

 

make sure u check the tubeless inner valve

 

mine once in Paya Lebar the valve rubber seal crack and leaked air slowly.

 

and pushed bike to macpherson road to repair

 

now more then a year

 

yesterday i saw my rear whell the rubber seal crack

i was afraid

 

so i quickly went to JB

and changed the valve for RM5 at akua lane first indian shop

i suggest you buy spark X. It is revised version of Yamaha spark Z and HAS BETTER BUILT QUALITY AND ALL PREVIOUS PROBLEMS RESOLVED.

 

You can buy spark X 2nd hand resale since no new one being on sale.

 

spark X diferrences

 

1. better head handle - lights, meters, switches

2. key lock new high tech

3. camshaft, valve tappet are thicker and more reliabile and durability

4. rear brake light set looks better with LED

5. less vibration as more screw implemented on cowlings /fairings

6. exhaust pipe

 

but i guranteed some internal engine componenets has been made with better durability and reliability

 

to know better u have to own the spare part catalgue manual and compare both x and z . You will see the engine parts also changed ; the part number is different.

 

I only own yamaha spark Z

I just returned JB morning

 

now increased from Rm5

washed bike RM7

 

engine, body, chain box, under mudguard, under seat, under engine, rim wheel, all washed. Then put black shiny polish on all matt black covers to protect UV sunlight.

 

gave the guy some RM tips for thorough job.

JB PETROL

 

i stopped using caltex after realize shell is better for bike

 

but since last month i tested BHP

 

BHP performance far thousand times better on my yamaha 110cc

 

to prove this i did test to Melaka NON STOP from Pelangi, JB till Heeren House in Jonkers Walk, Melaka.

 

Petrol never finish and still left for another 25KM

 

but since BHP got in Melaka but i do not know where

so i pump full tank Shell and return to JB

 

but screwed

 

shell only last me till skudai toll plaza

 

so BHP is the best.

MELAKA COMPLETED REPORT SOLO RIDE ON YAMAHA SPARK Z 110cc

Upon reading these solo riders with cub kias, I did a test run to Melaka to test my heavy body and bike machine endurance.

 

13/4/09

Morning 10:10am

Full tank 4.5 litre with BHP petrol RON 97 unleaded

NON_STOP riding at constant 80km/h from BHP kiosk, Pelangi, JB to Heeren Hotel, Hereen Street ( Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock), Melaka.

 

NON –STOP live telecast at 80km/h took me 3 hours 10 minutes for point to point journey. Total one way is 218km

 

One night in Heeren Hotel RM129 very tranquil, exotic, antique hotel.

 

14/4/09

Return to Singapore at night.

 

Bike maintenance before journey:-

Changed

Air filter genuine hong leong Yamaha holograph RM16

Shell 20w-40 engine oil RM13.50

NGK G-Power spark Plug RM12

 

What I learnt?

 

Bike is strong but I am weak due to heavy body. My arms painful and also the hand palms become numb.

 

This is a food festival for myself. So just eat and eat all the way in Melaka.

 

Places I ate in famous UNICEF Jonkers walk

 

Rice ball chicken hainan

Café 1511 – asam laksa

Korean café – did DR.fish massage for foot and eat Korean eggroll

Baba house – eat fantastic nasi goreng + rendang ayam + brinjals

Coconut house – gula melaka + coconut inside pizza and 2 fresh coconut juice

Juice restaurant – green apple juice

 

Bandar Melaka Raya

Newton food square – egg + prawn chee cheong fun

 

Portuguese Settlement

Portugis dishes

 

Spa massage by Balinese girls with massage certificate. A Hindu girl name Dewi, did massage. Took royal indulgence puri-puri package

2 hours 20 min = RM305 including tax.

First time did spa in life and had superb powerful experience. It was inside a world class spa environment. She use bioessentials product and will let me smell and guide me for every treatment on foot, body, face.

 

For next journey

 

Need to buy :-

Better hand glove which can protect palms from being numb.

Green vest with more reflective for vehicles behind to notice me.

Change the rear light bulb from Stanley to Osram, so that is more brighter.

Put more lotion on buttock.

 

Need to exercise and reduce 30kg.

 

Next trip plan to shoot at 120km/h constant to Frasers hill.

 

If successful, will plan to Satun via Wang Kelian, Perlis. Then next day use trunk rd to Hadyai.

 

I believe I never read bikers been to Satun..

gave labour charge to polish RM10

gave the guy some tips for excellent job RM

 

 

changed osram bulb front head light - 2 pieces RM10 x 2 = RM20

 

washed cover lens rear light to make it clean and shiny

 

"main jet" inside carburator Rm8

did many other jobs - service RM12

 

Now bike not halting at 100km/h

lately my bike no power and petrol consumption high and i suspect that it is piston ring thingy.

 

Anyone have the same problem could advice to overhaul or change bike?

spark z came with front basket as default in year 2004.

You may ask spare part shop if they still have and selling.

mine I throw away in 2005. hahahahahha.....

nothing to do with pistion and piston ring

 

is your carburator

 

change the needel precision tool and MAIN JET of carburator

 

yamaha piston, piston ring and connection rod are very reliable and durable.

 

don't be cheated with mechanics dirty tactic

 

bring to JB and ask them to service carburator and change main jet.

also change your air filter and do check on valve tappet.

 

main jet = RM8

air filter original = RM16

for carburator cleaning and service to change main jet = RM12
