you mean the price of the Pirelli MT 66? I dont rmber it being so ex thou.. but that was 3-4 yrs ago..

my rear tyre costed $170 from ah chong, it was dunlop 505, he told me e best... used it for 18000 km and now changed to shinko tour master, $100... we'll c how gd it is over time... for my front, it is also dunlop n i think he charged me $120, should have asked for e shinko instead...

 

reason why i trying shinko cause my fren riding phantom bought shinko cause of budget... n for e first time in over 3 years, his tyres lasting so damn long! n he say it is not slippery even until now... so i trying lor...

My vlx felt hot at junctions or when idling. I did a coolant check and it was still full. Mech said it was normal. I knew better.

Great thing i found this forum and read that the fan may be faulty and that tap water cannot be used. This mech used tap water. I thought so because after topping mine up, he emptied the rest to the drain. Colour was brown. I had it flushed and filled with maxima cool aide. Although im sure engine ice would have given better. I'm satisfied for its price. Bike runs much cooler now.

Steed is sure a hot ride.

 

Try using coolant no need to mix with water.(I'm using coolaid)

Since our ride is hot and sexy(OLD)......

 

Pls check the following

1.coolant hoses for any leaks (will cause leaks of coolant)

2.replace your coolant every 10000km(cooling system not working well so replace at 10k km instead of the usual 12k km)

3.replace radiator cap every 20k km.

no, u aint dumb nor a blonde.

 

the bulb can be changed.

its a T-10 bulb.

 

gt the LED ones that SNapEl got for his ASS4 shld suffice....

 

the compartment segregation in the meter will somehow block the light rays hence the difficulty of reading the meter in the dark.

 

I changed to M400's 4 SMT LED but due to the blockage, still not bright, maybe the ones SNapEl gt can help..

 

or check out M400's MO thread...

now got many options ah...
