hey thanks guys for the response. I checked online, they all say the symptoms gotta do with the carb. @Sprint74, cannot be the spark plug issue because i changed the spark plug twice within 2 months and the mech tested the ignition coil. @defected, i jus changed the rubber connectors during my recent servicing. I also had my air and fuel mixtured tuned and carb balanced last week. How much to change carb? my mechanic say got a old spare from the scrapyard in good condition. He quote me $200 including workmanship.

200 sounds abt right. I got mine for $120 and abt 80 to service the carb. Depends on luck too so all the best bro.

It's been great riding a steed. Most of us will probably elect to scrape our steeds at their end life. Some bros have already scrapped their vlx-es. I am wondering what other cruisers, fall into the value area like steed. Value for money for its bullet proof engine & looks.

Vse latest model. Different tail fender and side panels and rear tubeless sports rim. Handlebar also comes with risers for the vse and fixed for the vlx. Seat also one piece on the vse. Engine same. U want a rare steed and latest one? Check out the springer vls. Hehehehe

Hi bros!! Juz gotten myself an FM steed after looking for a long time!

 

Is it normal if there is a wheezing sound on top of ur exhaust n engine sound? Like everytime u throttle... clear if off throttle... I think its from the carbs... anyone converted to single carbs here?

 

Also anyone knows any shops dealing in quality accessories? It seems like theres not maby shops that do...

There are some vlx owners who have changed their rear wheels to the tubeless. If u want the vse Cos of that, u can also consider these vlx with rear sports rims too.

Any one has lobang for a used speedo for the VLX?

Not necessarily in working order, need the chrome cover only.

 

btw: rear tyre can be made tubeless by sealant. About $80.
