I have a quest.. if your current bike got claim but havent settle but it causes your premium to increase.....

 

Then if you choose to go to another insurance company, will the premium be the same high price because of the claim or reset...

My insurance is expiring in August but my COE ends end of this year. As i am unlikely to renew the COE, am I able to renew my insurance only up til the end of the year with lesser to pay?

You can check with your insurance company if they allow you to extend your present ins to the end of your bike COE, by paying the extra premium(done it for bus insurance). Otherwise, will have to renew a year and cancel the remainder for a refund when you scrap your bike.

1) if lets say i just passed my 2b at the age of 18 haven pass my 19 birthday if i were to get a honda sp say a FU plate how much would the insurance roughly be ?

 

2) i heard that for insurance u are allowed to ask an older biker with many experience to help you sign insurance which will cost cheaper it is true that now they will take the youngest biker age in other words even if you were to sign it with and older biker the insurance will not be cheaper like last time ?

 

3) from what i heard dunno if its true that u can sign and insurance without paying for it first then after a period of time not sure how long mayb when u wan to renew ur insurance as an example then u need to pay .

You will have to enquire at the insurance company for the actual premium. Some won't insure you & those who do will charge you a pretty high premium.

Premium follow youngest rider.

Never heard of this before. Get insurance coverage without paying? That sounds impossible.

Just checked with NTUC 3rd party for my poor cub. Last year was about $252 after 10% NCD, now the premium is about $253 after 15% NCD...... Slight increase despite of higher NCD & age.

Hey dude I am in the ssame situation as u. My TP on 5th march but i called and asked ntuc to give me a quota for FT plate SP for my age. 18 years old p plate.

 

They quote me $888 !!!!

 

OMG, tthey really raise the Insurance a lot. Around 40%.

 

My fren same age as me riding FT plate sp too bought his unsrance at NTUC 2 moths+ ago bought his insurance at $650

 

 

Anyone can tell me which insurance company haven raise their premiums ?

 

A $200+ increase is really a lot for 18 years old student like me.

aft tt i called up AXA.. who transferred me to Anda. A very nice uncle quoted me $578. thats 200bux cheaper than what NTUC quoted me:sian:

 

haha the weird part came when i called up mitsui, asked for quotation, and then the guy quoted me $766. same as ntuc. so i asked him, isnt that NTUC's premium. he said yes, coz Mitsui (his employers) charge much much more.

 

anyway, taking up Anda!

Once you've committed to buy the bike and the seller commits to sell, go to one of the offices that can sell you motorcycle insurance - Anda (Axa), CA or WTT (MSI), Income. Give them the bike number and buy the insurance effective from the date that you want to transfer to you. Then take this cover note to LTA on the day of transfer.
