Yes..and it can be very costly to replace the damper rod inside. This will happen when there is no more fork oil inside and it bottoms!

i have 1 BRAND NEW IN BOX pair of bitubo rear shock to let go! 2011 model, with preload, rebound and compression adjustments.

gunmetal colour for the body, black springs. this is a customised set for the springs colour.. letting it go at a real good deal.. much better than what you can get outside on the market. :D

hi, i recently bought a version s but it seems like the suspension is not even showa... its like some cheapo suspension, will it affect my ride? this is how it looks http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a20/kmjoe/suspensionzz.jpg

Go back to the shop and demand ur showa back. If cant get back the next cheapest solution, buy a YSS. Less than $400.

you upgraded from phantom to s4? you will realise the price difference for parts will be big. just continue with this suspension until you decide its time to upgrade the suspensions.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Its always good to ask sumone familiar with s4, well whats done is done. Just save money and get aftermarket suspension.. A showa would cost $800 if i not wrong..

I noe how u feel, my spec 3 was with a ver s suspension.. Bike shop cheated and my mistake didnt check properly..Didnt really notice or noe till seeing other spec 3 otr. Got mysepf a YSS to make it nicer with my bike. :)

if you read back this thread, you'll realise ah Pek is recommending this type of suspension then the ones with canisters.

neway, if you're perturbed about it, you can save up & look for a 2ndhand in tip top condition here.

IMO, Showa is good enough for this bike, unless you prefer something more exclusive.

i think u'll make it look ridiculously jacked and u'll make ur springs wear out faster. not to mention a very wobbly cornering

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

not planning to upgrade and not about jacking up for stylo or wat so ever.. my main concern is tat the rear suspension is turn up to the max liao and while entering a bend, is feels wobbly... am on a tight budget n servicing make it abit costly.. furthermore my friend service up his, and results were negative... btw mine is a 6 year old bike.. guess wear n tear seeps in...

That's no way to solve ur problem. Go to Teck Thye at 12 Bradell Road (Junction of Upper Serangoon and Bartely)..have your canister recharge with Nitro ($40 ea)..add a pair of rebound spring spacer ($..?..but free when u refurbish/rebuild ur shcks)..you are set to go..better than NEW! Look for David..tell him I recommended u otherwise may kenna carrot.
