Topic : Ref to Spark 135 FAQ

Description : Discussion and comment here

Hi to all,

I was quoted S$180 for RK O-ring and sprockets.

Is it overpriced? I do not wish to go JB for chain. Please recommend some shops to have my chain changed?

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

I've clock about 400km on my bike since I collected it last friday night.

I had a feeling that I travelling much slower then the 80km/hr indicated on the meter as compared to driving in my car. Have any fellow Spark rider notice this?

So I did some simple tests & here's my finding:

1st Test : Base on my watch's Tachymeter stop-watch timing,

I took an avg. of 55seconds to cover 1 km @ 80km/hr (Speed measured via bike's meter). Which marks an avg. speed of only 65KM/hr!

2nd Test : Last nigh, I got a Honda 150cc Phantom to pace me. I was pace at about 70-72km/hr by the Phantom. Got "Lam-Bong" when the Phantom increase it's speed to 80km/hr (Speed base own the Phantom's meter).

3rd Test is scheduled tomorrow night, would be pace by a Honda Hornet 600cc. Would post my finding then...

4th Test is to hook/set up my SIGMA Sport BC1600 Bicycle, would post my finding then...

Please understand that being pace by another bike is just to get a rough estimate, I do understand that smaller CC's bike's meter's are generally off the mark in terms of actual/true speed. That goes the same for some higher cc bikes too... ...

On the other hand does anyone have a better idea to get the avg. speed of a bike?

Cheers!

*Pardon my broken english... ...

bro for ur info the smaller the bike the difference btw the actual reading and our meter reading will always be different

from wat i guage...

our meter is bout 15-20km/hr difference from the actual speed we are travelling

commonly on expressway i can safely ride 110km/hr on my meter pass the camera and nothing happen... dat area the speed limit is only 90km/hr with my previous R6 i went 100 pass the camera oso no prob...

i never really took another bike to pace as it would be troublesome... haha

basically the gap should be around the range of 15-20 or even 25...

jus some thoughts...
