Hi Pulsar riders, I have seen the figure of 50-60km/L for fuel consumption being bandied about quite frequently. Is this figure based on normal everyday riding, based on 90+km/h or based on 60km/h (running in)? I have also seen some riders who get as low as 40+km/L? Care to share?

Posted

i think is based on 90km/h ba, it really depends, anyway i guess the mileage is good for a bike like this~

just went in 2nd link just now. checked my mileage. 545km at 15litres of petrol. 95% of the time above 110km/hr and occasionally able to hit 125km/hr with the help of a slope. all along with pillion

my first tank is the most accurate. at the speed of 80km.hr to 90km.hr, i get 49.1km/litre

the second tank is doubtful becoz i pumped very very full. so i guess my third tank will be more accurate. wait for mt update on my third tank. hehe

No more regrets.

One thing i wonder abt pulsar is the seat is very small. I did try my friend pulsar with him as pillion and it sure feel quite uncomfortable. Especially on that part (U know wht i mean). I m not sure abt this but pulsar definitely need to improve on the seat. Not good for long riding.

I think some riders get about 40km/L once they have fully ran in the bike? Which makes the fuel consumption similar to the Phantom 200 or maybe just abit better? But the monstrous fuel tank and lower price are definitely plus points. Sorry if I seem too skeptical of these figures. It's just that I have seen too many of these unsubstantiated claims about the performances of bikes. Please don't flame me, I'm just trying to be as objective as I can.
