Hmmm..My mileage nearing 5k...I say it is quite difficult to get 55-60 km/l mileage. I just tried riding at 60km/h(90% of the time) from top up to reserve..I manage to achieved 52.5km/l....I observed for s'pore rds 40-50 km/l should be ok....Riding slow can be really scary :giddy: Aniway need feedback can contact me at 97668643 jus ask for AN... Suprisingly I tend to take more care for this bike than i take care of my previous bike(honda rvf)...Cant stop cleaning and polishing!!! The handling is suprisingly good(except when moving off)..I actually managed to scrap the foot pegs(left and right) while cornering :nono: :nono: So ride with confidence!!!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I just fitted the box and IU.... EXCELLENT.

Now the jerky first gear is gone. I guess the extra power is used by the heavier rear with the box esp during moving off.

We (husband and wife), have no problems with the moving off and the ride is just so good. Last thing to get sorted out, is the loss of power in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear esp around 3000 rpm range. So going to bring to agent on Tuesday. Now since top up full tank mileage is 380km and still not even half tank

Outspoken: What is your mileage on your bajaj now? Have you got a box?

My mileage is about 3100km now...Nope i didn't got a box...most prob dun intend to put a box at all...just love the bike like dat without any box..furthermore i dun like it when there's a box...pillion tends to rest on the box making u unstable to ride.

anyway when u ride the bike,im sure a lot of riders beside u will be watching and wondering what bike ur riding...so far i have countless times of pple esp uncles asking what bike, how much the bike etc...

hmm when u have ask the about the 2nd,3rd,4th gear thing do inform ya...i agree the pick up of the bike is quite impressive but it slows off when u change to 2nd gear.

im riding normally around 100 - 110km/hr and there's a slight vibration but to me its quite stable.i have tried 115km/hr before but not over it cos the RPM is almost at the red zone.Furthermore i dun think its necessary. But if anyone does dat do post it here ya.

Whats Up DaWgZ!!

juz want to share some info...i had 2 frens riding bajaj...well..they are indian nationals werking here...they were surprised to find out that in Singapore they do sell bajaj....when i told them about it...imagine this...within 2 weeks...they sell off their current bike and bought one each...they were so happy like mad!!!....

the thing about bajaj they like is the fuel effiency.....now they are clocking an average of 60km per liter....guess how much is their fuel effiency back in India....coz they owned one back home....an average of 75km per liter....:lovestruck:

I have tried and tested the bike....i guess....the underpower of the bike is not really an issue...coz you can hit 100-110km/h comfortably....there are so many perks on the bike...fuel consumption, easy to maintain, minimal vibration while riding, comfortable riding posture, no need to use 2T....

The models you are riding right now...is the effort of Bajaj company in marketing its product globally....coz when i saw pictures of my frenz bike in India....sucks big time....the design and the size....the ones in Singapore are more stylish and new age...power!....

young_maan>>> to be honest..this bike is getting hot in singapore...i have juz brokered 3 sales for this bike...and many people are asking for it...if you looking for one...pm me...

well...have fun riding...ride safe...

what kinda speed and riding style do u adopt to achieve 40-50km\l?

anyway it's still a whooping 700-800++km per tank. :thumb: :thumb:

is the bike powerless and no pick-up? how does it compare to kups?

I said it wrong...Wat i meant was 40-45km/l....After my 2nd EO change i rode at 100km/h most of the time and i manage to clock 720km hence the 40km/l mileage.

The bike can pick up but you must play with the throttle to achieve a smooth pick up. The bike tends to be a bit powerless when the rpm is For the kup thingy i cant comment as i never ride one b4... :sorry:

nice information. thanks dude!

seems like it's a good bike, as long can cruise at 100kph comfortably will suffice for local roads.

What Speed are they ridin at ?

I am getting quite good progress on the bike. Now I am at 1000 km. My last fuel top up was abt 2 weeks ago. Run 480 km fuel gauge still shows slightly more than half. That means I will only go to JB every 2 to 3 weeks to pump petrol in a Month I will only spent S$ 24.00 on petrol monthly. What a big saving from the S$132.00, I used to spend on petrol

I meet a malay rider last week. he said that he can ride the bike at abt 110 km/h witout problem. he has achieved on one tank abt 885km hitting reserve. Same story

I am after the first oil change. And I am already riding at 70km/h. It is smooth.

Another colleague has already decided to buy the bike. So I definately be seeing this bike around here more often. Now it has been everyday that I have seen at least one Bajaj Pulsar on the road. This is the way to go, where bikers need not have to pay so much to be able to ride around. for work of fun

Hi everyone,

I’m a new 2B rider who’s looking around for my 1st ever bike. The Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-I certainly caught my attention.

The Pulsar must be one of the heaviest 2B bikes around. With a dry weight of 137kg (correct?) and 18-litre tank, I suppose the bike will weigh about 155kg when fully loaded with fuel. That’s as good as a 250cc bike! This can be quite intimidating for a small-sized new 2B rider like me (1.63m, 55kg). I’m worried the bike might be too heavy for me to handle during cornering and U-turning.

Can those who own the Pulsar comment on its handling? It’ll be even better if u can tell me your ht & wt as well. By the way, what’s the Pulsar’s seat height?

Thanks.

I am abt 1.68 and weight 80kg. Height of the bike is confortable. Not too heavy. Both ma and my wife feel it is like a mountain bike with an engine, quite light.

Trust me it is a very powerful bike. That is why Idont need to pul on the throttle to get the speed hence the fueal efficiency.

outspoken: The Malay rider I spoke said that he even reached 120 km/h and abt being able to reach 885km per tank. I am still on my way. coz I have now hit 580km and at half tank. So I am still going on. Already 2 weeks since I fuelled up.

Dean_46: I went ot the agent abt the power loss issue esp near the 3000rpm. They have said that the bike need to warm up well, or you will need to ride off very slow. it is abt the exhaust TEC system, which helps to prevent excess usage of fuel.

So now I take my time to warm up. Dont have the problem anymore. Or when I need to rush off, I just ride off slowly until the engine warms up and then I realise that the problem does not exist. So it is all abt warming up before moving off.

SuVespa: What was your mileage before empty tank? You put it as 80km only?

Pauche: Abt riders in the east? I am sure there are, you will just need to recognise the bike, why not go down to Bt mearh Opp Ikea beside Shee stan, BIke shop Univerasl have a look there. But you should check out what other bike shops will offer you for the bike. Try to get 2nd party insurance.

Keep all of you posted.

Outspoken: maybe you can add your full tank mileage?

After reading all these reviews, i really feel like getting a pulsar!

How much would it roughly cost OTR for a 26yrs old with 1st or 2nd pty insurance? Is it better to get from universal or are there any shops in the east side that do sell them at a much better price?

Guess its time to trade my scoots for a real bike!

50km/litre is unbelievable man, my runner can only do 26km/litre at most! Worth paying for a long term bike!

][][ No point waiting.. if you want something, its best to go get it yourself!!! ][][

im going to get one soon. i will update u on this bike

No more regrets.
