if ur bike runs too lean (low fc), it means ur bike run slow with overheat engine tat tends to burn-up piston or valves.

if ur bike runs too rich (high fc), it means ur bike r power n run very fast, waste fuel due to unburnt fuel.

both have their advantages n disadvantages.

try n do a search on google, how to tune ur carburetor.

good mix of fuel n air by weight should be 1:14.7 ratio.

efi is electronic control set by factory, can be alter for more power by after-market electronic device like power commander (PC) or Dynojet.

u can't defy physics, the amount of fuel burnt by ur bike.

dun be too proud when u can save fc more than others.

it will cost u more when engine overheat over long period n burnt out.

on the other hand too rich setting will just flush away money (fuel) n more black soots.

i dun think the fuel gauge is propotionate to the fuel left, u shd clock actual mileage and calculate with actual fuel pumped.. more accurate..

Yamaha 125Z - Stock 25km/litre

Yamaha 125Z (1 Givi E33, sprockets changed to F/R 17/39)

35-40km/l from 2003-2010 @ 110-130kph indicated

Smaller rear sprockets allow you to cruise at a higher speed at the cost of low end torque. The economy benefits as you can see are significant. (so long as you know your machine well, and know what you're doing). Riding slow on a 125Z is a waste of fuel. You know 2-strokes, they work best when the exhaust is resonating and 'supercharging' the cylinder. That occurs at 5-7k RPM on the Z.

I've tried going down to 37 but it's not practical because the optimal RPMs at 6th gear is something like 140kph.

Hunkering down also gives you more than just rempit looks. This bike has no windshield so leaning forward reduces a lot of the machine's frontal profile and consequentially, air resistance.
