den get a 600cc if u not confident of e power of 1000cc! hehehe..600cc is the best of both 2a and 2

Not really - well Y'all know I want a Ducati and eventually I will get one, been saving and working like mad for it.

But I still haven't decided if I'm gonna get a 2A or a Class 2. Part of me thinks I should get a class 2A transition bike to improve futher my riding skills and get a dfferent experience, part of me thinks it's best to wait and get the dream bike under class 2.

So for now, it's just getting to know more, and not rushing into it. Want to make the right choice :cheeky:

In any case, I'm keeping my Pulsar. I love this bike too much to sell it :shy:

Thanx lor never ask me along :(:(:(

It's a ladies group ride, didn't expect to see guys ! They only invited me because I'm a girl so I didn;t think they'd want a guy to be invited. I will ask next ride, they ride every week or so :)

Only thing is, there is definitely a difference in power. So they have a couple of 200cc scrambler riders with them (girls), and they try to keep the speed at 110km/h max, but the pick up speed is such a big difference, it is impossible to stick with the group. Unless you ride in the front, which they want to do next time, put the 2B bikes up in the front, but even so I think us Pulsars will fall back. For me, after a few minutes, I got overtaken by everyone and the sweeper was kind enough to stay with me and escort me back to the group. He said I have to not worry and rde in the front, but when I do, I feel like I'm holding everyone back ..

I'll definitely ask next time, deal ? :cheeky:

i ride half way n changed to zeus, took a long detour home, hit the highway for short distance at 110km/h, keke

my opinion of zeus, POWER, could hear a small buzzing sound at low speed but i've yet to determine where it's from, but it's not disturbing. the main problem i have is it's hitting my jaw pressure point. it's hard to eat tibits when wearing the helm. other that that, i love this helm.

i've converted to a open face, will wear it some time b4 using the flip up, keke

1 big qn; is snell approved suppose to have a sticker? i can't find it.

Snell stickers are often under the paddings.

TO ALL ...... Please consider to invest a riding pants, a riding jacket , gloves and shoes !!! ..... the amount you spent can at the least protect your lovely knee and the rest of your body !! ....

courtesy of our bro haktek .... hopefully a lesson learnt here for us!

btw to arthur .. I was informed that this is from a 40kmph fall!! ..... think your 60kmph will be worst!! .. hmmmmmm

Thanks for the photos, this is what we need to see to keep in mind the danger of falling.

Picture the knee with a knee guard : you see my point yeah ? Even with protective gear, you're not 100% safe. But, you will reduce highly the impact and the damage.

Please, please, gear up. Scooter, kup kia, pulsar, hayabusa, doesn't matter what bike you ride. You're on a machine, and you're only made of flesh and blood with nothing to protect you, how can you be so careless of your own body to not gear up ? It's like flying a plane without a parachute, or diving without a buddy. You can do it, and some people do. But when something goes wrong, what's gonna help/save you ?

Gearing up is not about being kiasu or being scared. It's about being smart.

Do the smart thing, dress for the fall, not for the ride.

Actually, I don't think the power is an issue. Like they say, it's the rider, not the bike. You can give me a bike that goes at 200km/h, I would still ride within legal limitations, because I don't want to get myself in trouble and because I'm not dumb enough to do insane speeds outside a race track.

It's more the weight of the bike, the handling and the learning curve. I think a 2A transition bike is good to learn something different, to handle a bigger heavier bike and also to diversify my riding style.

But then again, I've seen in that Ducati chicks group some who have been riding a 2B for 2 years, a very small 2B bike, and then got a Ducati Monster 796 when they got their CLass2.

i'm not saying u should be at 60km/h, rather like u said, higher speed is worst.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

u ride low speed in a high performance ride, u'll spoilt the engine.

yes

you need the c tool that is in the bajaj tool kit

or unless you got enough strength to push down the spring

oh great! i'll give it a try cuz i have the tools which comes with the bike...probably will the 'C'is in there..

Thanks @dejaxx, so what is the top speed you go on 5th gear? I believe using the worn out gear at high speed could cause more damage rite? In 4th gear I can go max 70kmph. Not enough  Is it safe to use the 5th gear at 100 kmph?

Or may be I just reduce the rear sprocket teeth so that I can cruise on the 4th gear at 80 :cheeky:

i usually cruise on 80-90km/h.. so the sound seems to 'disappear' at this speed... didn't bother until now after what mech said... haha ;)

That's a common misconception people turned into a false truth.

A Ducati Monster 796 for example, is specifically designed to be able to take very low speeds during hours in traffic. It's cooling system is actually more designed towards cooling off the engine at that speed rather than at high speed for which the cooling is more straight forward and easy to obtain. Clearly the bike will over heat and you'll end up sitting like a duck to avoid your legs being too hot if you ride that bike at 30km/h for hours. But it won;t damage the engine.

A lot of people think that a big bike MUST be riding at high speed, but that's not true. Powerful bikes have a comfort zone (a bit similar to say 7rpm for our Pulsars) that is wider than smaller bikes.

Especially the Monsters and the Streetfighter Ducati models which are originally thought and designed for town riding.

There is no way you will spoil a big bike's engine by riding at 90-120km/h.. or by taking it easy. We are not talking about bikes modified for F1 competition. We are talking about bikes specifically designed for street riding.

Agree with that. Just that you need to ride in the right gear(I mean transmission gear here for a change and not the protective gear :cheeky:). Not sure about the gear ratio's of Ducati, but if 6th gear is meant for 120+ then should be 5th gear only below that speed. Some people think riding at higher gear and low speed will save fuel but it could lead to more long term damage.

not true arthur..bike wun spoil if ride 110km/h. in fact..most ppl who buy big bikes dun go tourin or go track..juz like a ferrari or lambo dey dun go zippin ard at 200+ km/h..mostly juz for status i feel :D. so most of e time dey conform to law and ride at 110km/h max and maybe the occasional 120km/h.

the onli irritatin thing abt bigbikes is its hot underneath ur seat..i duno abt ducati..but most bikers who ride big bikes share e same prob..especially when u r stuck in a traffic jam then it will be damn hot..dats y most of the time we prefer to ride faster to minimise dat heat..cheers
