wow oren..saw u encountered alot of falls..luckily no serious injury to u n ur pillionette.

Yeah so far the count is :

1 fall exiting the highway to Penang, when the bike was slowed down to almost top between two bumps made to slow down motorcycles at the toll area. Bike fell cause too heavy after it has lost balance. This fall bended the gear lever preventing me for going above 2nd gear. Bent it back with my legendary superhuman force, bare handed. Hail aluminium.

1 on the way to Penang, this was after bumping into a car in a traffic jam. This was the most serious incident, Pillionette dislocated her thumb when she bumped into me when I jam braked and hit the car. Her thumb got caught between her and me and the push dislocated it.

1 fall after crossing into Thailand, a truck decided suddenly he wanted to be the 3rd vehicule stopping side by side on the road, and blocked my lane. I hit the brakes, but my mistake was to go for the rear brake first (a bad habit). I managed to not hit the van and stop before, but once the bike stopped, couldn't put both my feet down in time and again, because of the weight, bike overpowered me and down we went. But this time with a variance, because Shadow apparently likes to spice it up so it doesn;t become boring: we went down on the right side and the right mirror broke.

1 fall that got us both into a laugh we couldn't control was at a rest stop, Pillionette went off the bike, I put it on main stand, and then I decided to do something with my leg that put the bike down. Very soft fall, but it counts as a fall still. We have no idea how it happened, we just stood there laughing our hearts off at the sight it must have been when the bike fell with the both of us completely blur. Good memory this one :D

Since then, I've gotten a bit better at managing the tank refill, the saddle bags packing and overall my legs grip on the bike to avoid being overpowered by the weight. Hopefully we'll keep it that way and the count will stop.

We are very grateful all this was minor falls, I am grateful Pillionette is recovering very fast but you'll see when you read the ride reports, it wasn't all happy happy when it actually happened.. But now, I am glad it happened early in the trip, it made me more conscious of the bike weight and more prudent on the road.

No I won't fix them, and happy to give him a good price.

I fixed a mopped scooter kup-kia like little mirror on the right side. I fixed it in Koh Lanta so check out the photos after that destination it should be visible. I kept my left mirror :)

I think pulsar looks best when its naked :cheeky:

The stock look is the best look. Same case for Super 4. I see many people change the headlight, put belly pan fairings etc. But the stock look with the round headlight still is the best.

O'REN. hahaha. u think my post is funny? now that i look back i think its funny too. =)

heyyy ppl. i just came back from batam! didnt get to see a single pulsar on the roads there! =(

visited the shop that sells sinnob sprockets! too bad they didnt have stock for 15:39 ones.

asked when will it be ready they said 1 week! =( cos they dun have ready stock and need to make one up start from scratch!

so i didnt managed to get one but im in no hurry actually.

Yummy food that i tasted in batam!

1) NASI PADANG! ( rice with about 20 kinds of different varieties of dishes! u only have to pay for those u want to eat! )

2) Bakso Mee =)

3) Instant IndoMie noodles. hahaha. really one of the best instant noodles i have tasted!

4) Ikan *dunnowhat* ( something like variety of fried fish cakes n other fishy stuffs )

5) Seafooood =)

6) A&W

7) J.CO is super cheap there!

super fat now. =(

few questions again! =)

Does changing stock sprockets to sinnob ones void the warranty?

Does your trip1 & trip2 meter resets to zero when u hit every 1000km mark?

True true.... But by then the mileage and maintenance won't make sense already.

Even road tax same as car.....hmmmm

But the feeling of a 1000cc engine between the legs sounds good.

Today took my Bajaj instead of the Vespa, haven't really ridden it for over 3 weeks.

Just realized after I changed to Mobil 1 EO, the vibration that was there from 69-75km/hr is gone.

EO really makes a diff.

@yhang23, yes both tripmeters will reset after 999

And no changing the stock sprocket does not void the warranty. Nothing really does, UM is pretty understanding about this as long as you don't go and start messing up with things that will cause the problem you want the warranty to cover. (ie if you change the main unit to so ethic else and burn the whole electrical system it's gonna be hard to play the warranty card).

After I changed to Sinnob, warranty helped me change my battery after leaving the bike in the parking for 3 weeks while traveling overseas. When they see it's not your fault or they understand you didn't do anything on purpose to damage the bike and then claim warranty, they will oblige, UM are pretty decent and honest so don't worry!
