They should be charging first 3 hours free and thereafter just a flat rate of $1/- up till maybe 2 or 3am.

How come a carpark off cbd be more expensive than one in the cbd.

comparison between vivo vs cairnhill to which i find its quite a leveled example.

i think vivo chaging rate for bikes most probably is coz by complaining by some car drivers which bikes blocking their doors

Come on, how does structuring the charges like this solve that problem?

Isn't it obvious that the charges are structured to discourage people who use the car park for long-term parking (i.e. those going to Sentosa or those going to park there and take the MRT elsewhere), while keeping it accessible?

He who hesitates is lost!

You mean sort of like those cars that park & ride? Then those bikers I presume who does that would the be ride & ride....... :)

like what someone mentioned earlier, parking there after a certain time is more expensive than car parking. and parking there during the day is also more expensive than parking in town/CBD area, which i find totally senseless.

They should take IMM as an example. First 3 hours free (which is more than enough time to run small errands like dropping by for a meal, or to buy small things and go off) and from the 4th hour onwards its $1.07 per entry (not per hour charge).

sigh. someone should write an email to vivo management. I already wrote one to west mall. :cheeky: but got a less than satisfactory reply

I believe anyone could write to Vivo management but there ought to be a common understanding amongst us here. We should all share one common goal; and in my opinion, the parking charges should be at a reasonable amount.

From the threads, I am in for the 1st 3 hours free and flat fee afterwhich.

I definitely wouldn't mind paying a $1 flat right too... Hope Vivo's management will change the rules...
